...look forward to sitting at your day job all day just so you don't have to move.

We moved into our new house this weekend.  It was a disaster, mostly because everyone had different priorities and wanted to do things at different times.  So consequentally everyone thought everyone else was being lazy because the other person didn't want to or couldn't do things at the same time.  Thus a lot of brief temper flares, general name-calling and animousity was floating around the move, which was demotivating of course.  Though when it was my turn to be upset it actually helped me keep going long past my body was ready to quit on me.

The move really took about how long I expected, what I hadn't predicted was how tired we'd all be afterward, and thus how little we'd get done on Sunday.  I don't even have a desk at home at this point, so my computer is sitting amongst a pile of boxes.

Nor do we have our internet configured.  We haven't decided where to put our servers yet (we have 2 win2k servers to manage our 2 domains, one is mostly a multimedia-fun domain, one is a work domain that hosts our development sites, SQL, etc), the house is pre-wired, but we have to tone out the lines, punch them into the network 12-port patch panel, and cap the rest.  I spent over 100 dollars on general networking stuff (I actually found a network toner for 70 bucks!  Pretty exciting to me, I normally expect to have to pay over 200, thus why we didn't have one yet).

The house is great, the general layout looks nice, I'll try and take some pictures after we've finished organizing and maybe let the maids come through one time.

Ok, now to just sitting back and enjoying being able to sit for a bit without having to bend over or walk up and down 2-3 flights of strairs nonstop. :)
