    Comic No. 111: You're on AM Radio 1490...

    This comic touches a very personal point for me: the wonderful sounds of Dubuque radio. Our humble town boasts at least 4 country stations, 2 supposed "classic rock" (which, in fact, is just old **** revisited) stations and don't forget everyone's favorite sell-out, "Comin' up next on Y105, I suck balls!!"

    Anyway, let the comments begin: What are your thoughts on this tragic story of our fallen sport radio standards?

    Oh...and a big shout to Wagner's dad, a very cool guy.

    Dad loved this comic a lot. Although he was a little perplexed as to why I referred to a team as a bunch of godawful mongoloids when they're not doing too badly this year. I dunno. I guess all the years of substandard Hawkeye Sports just got to me.

    As for what that guy said about your radio stations, they do suck. Mom always puts on the oldies station and try my best not to jump out of the truck window whenever one of the cheesy songs comes on. I'd never thought i'd say this but.........I'D RATHER LISTEN TO DR.PHIL!!! *dies*

    I don't know if a comparison between Dr. Phil and oldies music is fair. Dr. Phil is retarded. Oldies music, which may include The Beatles, Elvis, The Beach Boys, etc was great stuff. WAY better than most of the **** that's out there now. Most of the stuff out there now is as retarded as Dr. Phil. 
     
    I don't know about anybody else, but I'd rather listen to great music as opposed to something retarded. The oldies station is actually the station I listen to in the shower.

    It may not technically be considered an oldie's song, but it's from the 70s and it's Led Zeppelin. Here's a few lines from it:

    The Doors have got to be one of the most innovative bands of the 60's-70's era, one of the many bands that I wish I could travel back in time to see live. See if you can spot these lyrics.

    Sweet dude, let the roadtrips begin again. And here's some news for you too: I'm thinking of moving to San Francisco after graduation, if I can find a job. Right now it's just a thought, but one I'm going to pursue. How cool would that be? I'm out for the night, it's 12:30 am and I'm tired.

    San Francisco would be cool, but I'm staying away from either coast. My goal is to migrate farther and farther north so that by the time I retire and I'm 80 I'll be one of those tough mother****ers who lives in a cabin up north and drinks all the time.
