    Broken Trust Signups

Okay, this is the sign up for my RPG known as Broken Trust.I will answer any question you may have and then we will play in the roleplaying Forum.

This will basically be a homebrew world ( I'll post a map shortly) but it will have the basic dieties, races and creatures of DnD.I'll allow most classes and races.

Also I will like some basic info and a bio on your character.Multiple characters is allowed but please limit it to two or three to avoid confusion.

    Any questions?

    I'll Join!

    Shaala
    Drow Elf
    Chaotic Good
    Rogue
Shaala has dark skin and white hair like all drow, and large silver eyes. She has never even seen the underdark, having spent her whole life as a mine slave to evil beings (what kind depends on what works best for this rp) until she escaped. She is still in her teens, but she has a natural talent with machinery to rival a gnomes. She doesn't know much about the world, having never gotten a chance to learn. She is incredibly curious and has a perfect memory. She is small, shy, and much too skinny. She understands evil much easier than good, because no one has ever been nice to her, and she finds the idea that anyone would make an effort to help her confusing. She has a really big wrench that she uses as a weapon.

I swear, now you're just doing it to piss me off.

Anyway,I have a map of the section of my homebrew world you'll be playing in.It's not the best but hopefully you'll be able to read it.Also I forgot to label the lake next to Tiber. It's known as the Morning Waters for the curious.

    Rutgar Bloodfang “Snarl”

Chaotic Neutral, he is akin to a wild animal... He looks out for number one, he won't go out of his way to help or harm you unless you cause him trouble or aid him first... or he's hired to.

    Hobgoblin Ranger/Bloodhound (Bounty Hunter)

Physical Description: Tall, brawny, and brutal sum up Rutgar; this rough and tumble hobgoblin has thick, dark, coppery fur covering his lean frame which stands a good six and a half feet tall. His body is a latticework of scars the most noticeable being a long jagged sword wound that runs from the middle of his chin to just above his eye up the right side of his face drawing his right lip up in a permanent snarl which has earned him his nickname. Combine his grimace with his feral yellow eyes and wicked yellow teeth and he gives off a very intimidating visage.

He typically dresses in red and black studded leather armor adorned with spikes along the shoulders and wrists; armed with a small arsenal he has plenty to help him bring down his prey alive or dead… At his waist he carries a wicked sword and dagger, a whip, bola, and net are secured at various easy to reach locations and on his back is a stout crossbow, spear, and man-catcher pole. Skilled in the use of drugs and poisons he usually coats a weapon to knock out a target preferring to take them alive over dead, not because of any moral debacle but simply because he usually gets paid more for a live mark and there is a chance of getting paid more than once should the subject escape capture once he has been turned in.

Snarl has formed quite the reputation for himself and his services are in high demand, as such he charges a high price, a price which those who can pay do so gladly knowing that this hobgoblin can do the job and do it well. He is a highly skilled tracker, a cunning tactician and an efficient combatant, add this to the fear that he instills into his prey through reputation and appearance and you’ve got a bounty hunter who delivers on demand.

    Lockjaw

    Dire Wolf   Rutgar’s animal companion

This massive and fierce wolf is Rutgar’s stalwart companion and has been for many years, his ferocious appearance complement his master’s perfectly and the two make an efficient team. His fur is black as pitch and much like his master missing in places due to extensive scarring; his feral yellow eyes display a cunning intellect unseen in an average wolf or even dire subjects of his species.

I'm not sure if I am able to play, but I'm considering playing a Psionic Character... would that be alright?

    @ Blood Sorcerer

I don't know.I've never had anyone play a Psionic in one of my campaigns and I've never played one myself.Could you get me some info on them? Once I learn the basics of them I'll be happy to let you play one.

Does your lack of comment denote approval of my character?

    Re: Broken Trust Signups

I humbly request permission to join this newly beginning RP. My character information follows:

Torbin Giantfeller;  Male Gnome Fighter / Reaping Mauler / Gnome Giant Slayer;  Neutral Good

Torbin appears to be your average gnome, standing only three and half feet tall, though perhaps bulkier than most gnomes. His broad nose seems to fit his friendly face, that is rimmed by a closely trimmed beard that runs from one ear, down along his jawline to the other ear. His head on the other hand is completely shaven. When wandering about, or readying himself for battle, he is commonly found with a tight fitting shirt of chain just beneath his equally tight fitting shirt and britches. When truly preparing for a fight, or multiple fights, Torbin will wrap both arms from palm to wrist. This is because Torbin is a grappler. Despite his size and stature, Torbin can fell some of the largest foes bare-handed. Many who know him, will tell you that the only real way to defeat Torbin is to keep him at a distance. But attempting to do so can prove difficult. He is nimble and quick, and has a knack for finding an enemies blindspot. But most of all, Torbin never backs down from a challenge. As he was once quoted as saying, "You'll never know whether or not you can topple that giant, until you smash his face into the ground."

    Re: Broken Trust Signups

@ FireSpark Of course you can join this RPG.I like the idea of your character.

Also I'm thinking of limiting the number of players to six or seven so everyone can have equal limelight and I don't have to keep up with so many people (the most I've every played with is three or four).Does this meet approval with everyone?

Also, this will be a purely story telling RPG.So no dice.

    Sounds good to me.

Pure story telling seems to be the standard, there has only been one dice rp that has actually ran on these forums... that I know of. I tried to run one but not enough people where intereseted in the idea.

    Re: Broken Trust Signups

If you have AIM I can try and send you the file containing the book I plan on using to compose the character concept...

Other than that it depends on whether your classify Psionics as a different medium of Magic, or completely different.  If they're different mediums some of the Psionic effects like 'detect Psionics' really could apply to either magic or psionic activity, while if you had them as seperate abilities that would be a horse of a different color... where instead detect psionics could be useless in a campaign where you have no other psionic beings... however advantage is given to my character if he suddenly starts trying to mind control people who have no method to protect against it - being magical creatures not psionic... It's complicated.

Mainly it matters more on a table-top level, and in your conceptual process concerning it.... for if you don't really have to worry about how the thing works, just that my character can do it, that's fine.  If my character blasts another monster with fire... the question up to you would be if it hurt, but if you're not going into entire game schematics such as magical fire being different than normal fire, psionic fire differently entirely, you don't need to worry about it.  So... Psionics are merely different types of characters...

Anyway... I undertstand the lack of desire to play with one, I would be somewhat disinclined to allow one into one of my games... but I just wanna try the concept so I figured I'd try since I couldn't conclusively accept any other class for one reason or another...

Are we going to wait until all have been chosen, or should start our exposition and other character building now, based on your intial post (regarding the murder)? We could use this time to begin placing our characters on location, begin building character behavior, or any number of things that help RP characters come to life stong out of the gate.
