    Snow in Tacoma

Western Washington can get its share of snow up north and in the mountains, but rarely does it snow in good old Tacoma.  This is basically what I've dealt with since Wednesday night.

I made a snowman giving the finger and then re-sculpted him to look normal but I lost his face in the process... Ah well. I couldn't even make him that large. For all the snow (Prolly 3-4 inches), it was too powdery to make a descent sized snowperson.

You can make a decent snowman with 3-4 inches. I've managed to help to do that in my youth. Of course Kayless is the real snowman expert here.

Snow's too dry to form a good-sized snowman. I was lucky I could compact what snow I could to make lil "Toni" as my sister has named it.

    Re: Snow in Tacoma

put it in a bucket and bring the bucket inside for a while, then it'll be wet enough to make a snowman ^^

that's what I usually do when it's to cold to form anything out of the snow...

beats trying to warm it up between your hands

    How big does Toni measure?

My youngest brother would often make mini-snowmen with a small amount of snowfall. I would make an entire army of mini-snowmen to do my bidding at below zero temperatures!

    Snow in Tacoma Part 2

It snowed again but I had class. My husband dropped me off on campus early so I had some time to kill before my class started.

Behold the fruits of my labor!

Nice job Evil. And all this done before class. It would not have been an art class so you could get extra credit now would it?

I think the little snowdog is the best. Really well sculptured, EPSC!

It's a creative writing fiction class, but my teacher appreciated the irony of the snow-dog next to the "No Pets Please" sign.

Re: Snow in Tacoma Part 2

It has been the wildest winter season in the US, I must say.

You guys in Tacoma are enjoying your fair share of snow.  The midwest is getting whallopped but whats wierdest is that just 1 state over from me, they are getting over 5 feet of snow in a matter of 2 weeks while here we have gotten a total of 2 inches ALL winter.  The usual at this point of the season is 22 inches.  We have yet to have a snowfall where we have gotten more than 1 inch.

If at first you dont succeed, dont try skydiving

We got 6 inches of snow last week but within two days it had all melted away. Strange weather we're getting
