I'm gonna hate myself for this... but i gotta list some disney.

Jungle Book, Alladin (only the first one), Lion King (only the first one), Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, Snow White.   What can I say, I love the movies I grew up with.  (i've got the, bear neccessitys, the simple bear neccessitys...)

Pirates of the Carribean rocks, it's just so much humor and action crammed into one.

The Lord of the Rings movies, as they have a great storyline and great acting and great special effects and so on and so forth.

The original Star Wars Trilogy will always have a place in my heart. You just gotta love Han Solo in these.

Also, I think the Indiana Jones movies kick ass, especially with Sean Connery as Dad Jones.

Not much too add to this actually

Yes, PotC did rocket greatly, particularly Captain Jack Sparrow (was that his last name? I forgot). I love his entrance and everything that happened afterward, and I don't mean immediately afterward, I mean every frickin' scene with him in it. Particularly that really awesome fight scene at the end where he...*resists urge to give spoilers*

    *edits list to include movie*

Come, see Neko Girl Jessica's Place, a haven for RPers everywhere!

I'm not sure if TV series count, but I would definitely include ReBoot as my all-time favourite. Explanation would take a lot of writing, so I'll just stick with the few simple things... Nice animation, good characters, great storyline and awesome coolness of the setting.

Fight Club. Kicked a lot of ass. Loved the style of that movie, and it explained a lot.

    The Matrix. See above.

12 Monkeys. Is it just me or do I like movies that screw with reality, insanity, and the true nature of the world?

How did i forget Princess Bride?  Thats inconcievable!  (i do not think that word means what you think it means... and yet it does in this case.)  Seriously, one of my favorite films of all time (it would have been better if they had taken out the bratty kid...)

RE: what is the best film you have see and why?

Yes, Princess Bride, The Emperor's New Groove (YAAAY! DISNEY!), and of course

Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail. I'm actually kinda surprised no one else said this considering the referances in EGS . . . okay, so there were two.

RE: what is the best film you have see and why?

Ah to revive a dead topic, with a movie that fits the context of doing so.

I'm quite suprised no one has yet listed this movie yet, but the greatest movie I have ever seen in my entire life is, with out a shadow of a doubt,

    The Crow

The acting in it was phanominal, the story amazing, and given the fact that Brandon Lee died while making it somehow added to the brevity of the film.

(keep in mind only the first one, which is the only one, the rest that you thought you saw were in fact only a mass hallusination)
