I'm an old school player.  I played the very first Zelda to death, Zelda II a few times and didn't get to play a link to the past until I got an emulator (never owned a super nintendo).  I also played Link's Awakening several times on the gameboy (the only reason other than tetris that I wanted one).  I've been watching my roomies play Wind Walker all last week.

On a related topic, anyone remember the Zelda cartoon series that was put out?  It use to be played on Fridays on the Super Mario Bros show.  I didn't care much for the mario brothers but I always looked forward to Fridays.

I love Legend of Zelda Games! I've always wanted Oricinia of Time. But I just can't get my hands on one. Damn.....*silently cry to myself*

Legend of Zelda games have classically been great. Link to the Past on the SNES was my favorite good balance of story, gameplay etc. I never cared too much for the CAPCOM versions of Zelda, i.e. Oracle(s), Minish Cap etc. but they're still pretty good. If you liked Ocarina of Time, you'll LOVE Twilight Princess, because the play is nearly identical with some nice Windwaker twists.

Personally, I'm also excited for the DS version: Phantom Hourglass

EDIT: Also, if you like Zelda, you might like THIS. A friend of mine does it, and he's like a Zelda fanatic.

I personally think Link to the Past is the best game, as well, with Wind Waker right behind. :x

I didn't play Minish Cap though ... I want to.
