I think it's just easier to have everyone posting them here. That way you don't need to look in a million places. ;)

    Re: Avatar security issue...

I have a bit of a different problem, but it's still an issue with Avatar Security, so hopefully it's all right to post it here: It seems sometimes instead of getting a picture and a few buttons with names on them, sometimes I get a text name and a few pictures that are clickable. Whenever I get the latter and try to click on the correct picture, I get an Error Screen that says something went pear-shaped and that I should post here if I continue to have problems, or something like that. Anywho, it's happened several times now (last time it happened was last week, then further back before that), thus it seems to be a continuing problem... and since I don't see any other threads related to it (sorry if I missed it!)... here I am, posting :)

    Re: Avatar security issue...

    Text: Laurel
Avatars: Adam, Ray, Becca, Pliny, Ted

I clicked Ray, and got a message saying that my vote was approved. But I have a feeling that I could've clicked on any of the pictures and gotten that, because another time I accidently clicked the wrong avatar, and still got the affirmative response. (I went back to click the right one, and that worked too, and when I tried a new votescreen for that comic, I was told that I had already voted.)

    Re: Avatar security issue...

If the system tells you that you had already voted, then you're good, it means your vote has been counted for that comic that day.  If you're logged into the site, the site gives you more leniency on choosing the right image.  Ultimately the site wants to believe that a human should get a vote, a bot shouldn't, so its got some tricky code in there that sometimes counts someone as having voted if they choose the wrong image twice to block the IP for 24 hours for that comic, or let them through with a wrong choice if they're registered and haven't voted as that username before for that comic in that 24 hours.

I'm looking into this Mrkoopa (nice name).  Can you send me a screenshot before and after?  support (_at) topwebcomics.com or post them here.

Before (mouse on top-middle picture marked "jace" with the smiling dude)

    After

Sorry it took so long, usually I only get one picture and several buttons (and no error message when I click on one).
