RE: what is the best film you have see and why?

Reboot was awesome, it replaced knightmare and it was almost as good.

My favorite films, of which I can remember

Dune(1984):Best film conversion ever (Except possibily bicentenial man). The only thing I didn't like about the film was weirding modules. But if Frank Herbert says it's okay, then it is okay.

Pulp Fiction (No idea when made): At first I thought it was a pro drugs film, but it has a really good and involving plot.

12 Monkeys: I don't like Terry Gillian films, and insanity scares me, but the theme music kept me watching the film right to the end.

Terminator 2: It has a minigun in it, need I say more?

Scary Movie: It parodies all the films I hate, thus it is good.

Easy Rider: All road trip films are good. Harleys will never go out of fashion. And it has Jimi Hendrix in the musical score.

Meh I don't think anyone really knew about this movie(heck I barely got to watch it), but I liked Titan A.E. Great music,  awesome animation and great use of computer generation.  If you haven't seen it GO SEE IT!(you'll love the ending).

If I havent said it before, Starship Troopers. The one and only time Hollywood logc has made a film that was better than the novel.

I suppose if you some sort of crazy masochist then you'd like the novel. But I'm not, I like gore. And short of evil dead 2 it's my number one for that.

I've thought about this a long time now, and I'm going to go with one of the classics:

    Casablanca

    Bogie & Bergman.  Mmmmmmm.

    YAY!!!
i loved spirited away!! i wonted to get it on DVD but the basterds at HMV got a bach of ****ed ones so no DVD for me *big pouts and tears in her eyes* but as for Princess Mononoke i have a working one of those *big grin* i love that film to bits to!!
What eternal hand of eye, what limitless imagination, could concieve the pangs of immortal life? An eternity of broken dreams. A place where once I died. what divine-concieved design, could match a mortal life? A wry and rapt mortality. A life played out in sounds, of weeping, screaming sighs. Is this when the night comes down? The Shadow in us all, that ebbs and flows with ignorance...

I watched Terror firma recently. It's not my favorite film, no one could say that about a Troma film. But, it is the goriest film ever. And that is funny in it's own right.

    I love that film.

Goriest film ever? I doubt it... Have you watched any of Peter Jackson's films? Try Bad Taste.

Garden State - Very believable, yet still consistently funny.
As Good as it Gets - A little more outlandish than Garden State, but the tone is right.
Rocky - Not the sequels. A fantastic story with a fantastic ending.

RE: what is the best film you have see and why?

I can't believe you put a Stallone film in a 'Best Film' thread. For every good film the man has been in, you came name at least 5 bad ones.

RE: what is the best film you have see and why?

Yeah, and I can think of at least four corresponding bad ones right off the bat, but this one's good.

Re: what is the best film you have see and why?

Hmm... I've never been much of a Rocky fan...
But then again, I can't say I really have a favourite movie either. Guess I'm an in-betweener.

Until Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is released, that is. I'm sooo looking forward to that one.
