That's not the best version of Silpheed, unfortunately. I think
the best one was the very very first Silpheed made for PC back in '89.
(With 16-color graphics and next to no sound effects, but it didn't
affect the gameplay.) That was 20 levels of intense fun and it
was a lot more challenging. I loved the neat Bomb Barrier
power-up which appears twice in Level 9 and 17. (And you really really
need it to survive round 20.) I learned that one hit to your
shields by anything else, and you lose the barrier. Also, there
is a 2-million point bonus if you can land the 2nd bomb barrier while
still holding onto the first one. (And given you would have 1.5
million points tops by round 17, that would more than double your
score, which is cool.)
