Very nice work there Tubby, welcome to the forum.

I must say that is a marvelous shading job on the Shadowpack there, makes me want to get back into drawing; maybe see if I can finish that picture of Baron Wackford I was working on. If only I had the time...

Thanks Twitch. Yes I know all to well the lack of time thingie, fortunately I happen to be "inbetween jobs" right now so I find myself with idle hands.

Plus I don't have the money to go out and get plastered.Crying [:'(]

Yeah, I am going to be in between jobs soon when I move; I'll also be without internet for an undetermined amount of time... That's right folks; you'll have to get by for a while without your gnomish king... You'll live, somehow...

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

It seems I move about every two years...

Hah, that is an awesome pic; nice midget knight and I love how the horse is just kind of there. He doesn't care, just give him a carrot or something.

Kind of reminds me of a picture a drew back in my highschool art class of a knight wielding a chicken as a deadly weapon, it was really sweet; too bad I left my portfoilo with my teacher.

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

Thanks Twitch. So what part of this mudball are you from?

Would you believe thats only the second time I've ever drawn a horse! Cartoon it may be but I'm pretty proud of that wee pony.

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

I'm from California, yes the wacky part of the U.S.A. :D

Well it is a very nice horse, I can draw a pretty good horse but I have more experience with realism than cartoony; I have done a few that have come out very well.

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

Sunny Califoria. I know the place, lots of plastic boobies and a very large gentleman as mayor?

I have always had trouble with our equestrine cousins of the animal kingdom. Something to do with the neck. I'm actually tring to get things together for a web comic myself set in a fantasy realm and the (anti) hero rides a camel. Wish I had thought about that a little longer before becoming settled on the idea. Bloody hard to draw. Doing lots of research but still having a lot of troubles.Tongue Tied [:S]

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

Well the plastic boobies thing depends where you are, you don't see much of that sort of thing in the crowds I run with.

Ah yes our Governator... Well at least he killed a Predator, how many government officials can claim that!

Hmm I never really had much problem with the necks, the only thing I had a problem with was positioning the rider in a satisfying manner, I'm to much of a perfectionist. More than half of my drawings get scrapped because I don't think they are good enough.<>

Perhaps you should post a picture or two and I may be able to give you a bit of help on that.

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

Not many. But then given half a chance I think the mayor of Sydney could have a decent crack at a predator given half the chance. She wears dog collars. I'm not joking!

At the moment I only have bits of camels but when I've taken a crack at a full one I shall post it & would be most apprecitive of any pointers. I shouldn't have to much worry with the position of the rider as its going to be a two humped camel. Not many places to sit except inbetween.

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

Meh I know plenty of people who wear dog collars... but none are mayors... :D

Cool well I hope your comic does well, oh and of course as the Gnomish representative of the forum community I must insist that including a gnome in said comic would be very good for business... and your health... :D We gnomes look after each other; you could consider us like a "family" capeesh?

Re: RE: Back to the Drawing Board

Indeed there is a Gnome who's name is far to long to write here. He is a bit odd for a gnome as he is not an inventor but a collector of tales. He roams the countyside jotting down everything and everyone he comes across.

So please don't send out the "wisegnomes" with thier ingenius concrete shoe making device....
