    RE: The OOC Thread

Well actually, there is a chink in any armor, and a dedicated, long lived person is likely to be able to find that chink. Further, if a person is immune to magic almost entierly, then the person can just walk through the wall of force that the mage is using to protect themselves. "I have a powerful spell that can protect me and my comrads!" "I'm immune to magic! I can attack you anyway!" Thus, the argument you're using against the elf can also be used against anyone choosing to be immune to magic.

    RE: The OOC Thread

#1: Immunity is a myth, a fantasy. With time and dedication, it can be overcome. A mage that studied to overcome strong resistance would not be able to cast very powerful spells but would be very valid.

#2: No problems that I see.

#3: Only if he walks up to everyone he sees and bellows "I AM THE BIONIC ELF! BEWARE!"

    #1. Gotcha.

#2. Alright. Any input on what kinds of toxins you think would work best, or where this character would best show up?

#3. o.O Are you serious? Even if it was origonally an orc that was the cyborg?

    2: No corrosive acids.

3: That would just make it funnier, don't you think?

    RE: The OOC Thread

#2. Alright. Though I'm a little curious as to what you might advise -to- have the character produce. I'm thinking possibly either producing a substance that is a rare and expensive, but completly legal medication, or perhaps even that drug that was on-board the smuggler ship.

    #3. Ummm.... no, not really.

Josh the Aspie... Now where have I heard that name before...  Your from the Shivae Studios Forums, aren't you?

Oh, by the way, If anyone is interested in joining the crew of the Vendetta, I have plenty of room.  You can even take over an NPC if you want.  All positions, minus that of captain, are open.

I do indeed hang out there. ^_^

And thanks man. I was thinking that if I went with either the toxin excreting character, or the 'accident' character, your ship and the smuggler ship interacting would probably be the best place for that to occur.

    RE: The OOC Thread

Okay, I'd like to propose a basic rule for transformations: No transforming people into spific people, or members of any given race without actually giving a description of what they are. For example, if I were to invent a potion in the potion's thread that turned someone into an Ardakene Elorii, I'd be willing to wager that over half the people reading that thread have no idea what one of those is unless I describe it.

It's about time somebody enstated that rule. Are we all thinking of the same member for why it's necessary?

If you're thinking the one who names individuals I've never really seen hide nor hair of, but assume are video game characters... then yes.
