Archeon seems to be a crossbred demon that has been involved in the artifact plotline.  He disrupted the DCI crew and the ShadPack's escape from the island after retaining the artifact pieces.  Some members of that scuffle have gone missing in action since then.  Archeon gave Arudin and Mad Malagorn a hell of a time leaving the island he imprisoned them on.  Archeon has been far from defeated and I have a feeling we will meet him in the very near future.
