Yeah your team sure saw its highs and lows, but youve come out to a wicked quick start against Matt, whose team was incredibly hot heading into the playoffs.  As you said, youre winning ugly   But way to go.  Keep it up!

But we both made the playoffs in our first go around, we did well.  I hope to meet you deeper into the playoffs in a couple weeks.  That would be great.

Even though it seems that my team is doing well I am just hoping that they can keep it up for th rest of the week. Many of the stats are very close and could go either way. I am amazed at the BA and how low it is for this week.

So here is to looking forward to a longer playoff run.

Well we both managed to dispose of our opponents in the opening round in the playoffs, the two high seeds advance, but with the run GP was putting together into the playoffs, it was hard to imagine hed lose right out of the gates, but you dispatched him.

I really had to pull some magic out of my hat.  My batters were all awesome but my pitchers were horrible so I just dumped all my closers except Wickman and opted to put in the best starters who were active the next day, it gave me 5 extra starts which was enough to give me K, K/9 and W, which was 1 stat enough to move on.  I felt pretty bad about sliding that low to move on, but my opponent didnt mind.  You gotta do what you gotta do.

Hopefully week 2 in the playoffs can be easier for us both

Well so far we are looking pretty good in week 2. Though it is just starting and I am hoping to hang on for the rest of the week.

Thanks, man.  You put up a good fight vs Jordan (Newcastle Trotmen).  I thought you might be able to pull the upset but he just had a real power surge the 2nd half of the week.

Well congratulations to Tybaltus the Champion of the Fantasy Baseball league! Way to go.

 

I almost grabbed third place but ended up missing it by 1 point. Well for my first Fantasy Baseball season I guess it is a good outing. I will probably never look at baseball the same way again.

Now if I could just win a game in Fantasy Football.   But that is another thread.

Sorry for not replying sooner, Ive been really busy with my new job and having to hold the household down.

Thanks for the good word, it really was a fun season of fantasy baseball.  I thought youd be able to beat the catapults there, both games were really close.  But I was sure happy to take the title.  Thanks again

Its been GREAT...or rather GRRRRREAT news in the baseball playoffs.  A's dismantled the Twins and the Tigers pulling off the monumental upset of taking out the Yankees, thats incredible.  Ididnt think they stood a chance, nobody did, and yet they pulled through with 3 huge wins, dominant wins too.  I know heads are rolling in the Yankees organization because they were far and away the best looking team in the playoffs and the highest paid too, so for them to flop like that, to be a fly on the wall in Steinbrenners office would be fun

When the tigers beat the yanks, there was much joy here also.

Freaking A's. Can't believe that they did not even win a game. Oh well at least the Yankees are not in the WS.

Well I was really cheering for the Tigers.  Oakland played them close a couple games, but otherwise there wasnt too much doubt.  What a pleasant surprise the Tigers have been since day 1
