Just wanted to give a quick plug to a few good quality games my buddies
made.
Title: Captain Caper
Genre: Multi-Player Action
Game Description: This is (as of the present, this will change)
an only hot-seat multiplayer old-school platform style game. Does
anyone remember the mini-game in Super Mario Bros. 3...the one where
you try to jump on your bro and get his item? Well it's that without
the getting the items. Captain Caper is the hero of this game,
different Capers go head to head (up to four players) against eachother
in 6 game modes. The 11 game stages add variety, as each offers a
different style of play. For example, one's setting is a broken up
suspension bridge. You must dodge cars and try to crumble the weak
ground to make your foe fall into the deadly water (water'd be deadly
to you too if you had no arms!), or in a grassy stage where venus fly
traps will eat anyone who ventures too near. Great game for a hangout
session or to play with your little bro or sis.
Sound: Captain Caper features a nice set of sound effects
including blood splatter sounds, powerup noises, and various trap sound
effects. Along with a few background songs, the sound in this game gets
the job done.
Story: There is no story, just good times =D
Title: Litter Assault
Genre: Single Player Shooter
Game Description: This game features you, the kitty, defending
his precious litter box. Using everything from a machine gun to a
rocket launcher to defend your base from invading mice and rats you
will have tons of fun with this easy to pick up game. 30 levels of
gameplay, starting off slow in the first 10, then picking up quick,
will keep you having fun for awhile.
Sound: Explosions and gunshots, with Ralph the Mouse making a cameo...what more do you need?
Story: You are a cat defending his litter box from hordes of
rodents armed with heavy weaponry. Not much to it...but it's a fun game.
Title: Maze Race
Genre Fast Paced Mazes
Game Description: You are an orange stick figure finding your
way out of a labyrinth. This straight foreward game is as addiction as
minesweeper, only more fun. Though short (it was made at 3 AM in three
hours) it offers a very fun gameplay experience. Top recorded score on
the forums is 151, can you beat it? Maze Race 2 is coming up also, so
if you like this one and want a longer, improved game, stick around on
our forums and give your say on what should be done, or just wait for
the release notice.
Sound: Features game appropriate music and sound effects for the
spike ball traps...there isn't much more this simple game needs.
Story: Like above, you are a stick figure navigating a maze of tunnels and doors. Very fun game, definetly worth a try.
