One of the Lords of Waterdeep was assasainated and the other lords are in a panic because they do not know who did or or even how the lord was killed.  The Lords have put together a request for all adventurers to come to Waterdeep and help them solve this problem before it gets out of hand.

This specific lord was one of very high class and was very popular with everyone in the city and outside of it as well.  His name is known through out the land of Faerun and of Amn.  He was one of the best merchants of the time, however he did make a lot of enemies with rival merchants.

At the present time, the lords are trying to cover this incident up for as long as the can but the scapegoat they have chosen might not hold up for much longer.  They know it nwill get out eventually if it hasn't already.  Now the other lords are afraid this assasin or whomever he works for might know who all the lords are, being that their lordship in the city is known only to the lords, and that the assasin might come after more of them.

The lords have several people searching for the one(s) responsible for this but so far they have gotten nothing.  Coincidentally, some of their best agents are out in the land doing other missions right now and there is no way to get them to come back to help clean this up.  They think something is fishy but don't know what. 

Is there anyone in the land who is up for the challenge?

Aurika stepped up as she sheathed her bloody katanas and took off her red bandana. "Hmmm this will be a good way to prove I was not the murderer, and earn some extra cash" She thought  as she wrote her name on the signup sheet.

Assim was being pulled down the streets of Waterdeep towards the main building because the merchants claim "He was makeing a rucus with many pranks." Assim told the gaurd that he did nothing and the merchants carts leg broke all on its own because as they can tell Assim has no weapons on his person to break the leg. Assim might have said it was funny to see all the freshly pcked tomatos explode on the floor. As he was nearing the gates he said, "HEY I am here to bloody help YOU people. A minor rumor got to my town about one of the lords being killed off so i came to lend my service to your people and this is how you treat me call you guys, the city gaurd to take me away from somethign Idid not do!!!"

The guard at the gate looks at Assim with a strange look, "What do you mean the lords are being killed? Waterdeep is not under control of any lords. You must have the wrong city. Well if you did something you did not do then you have nothing to worry about." Then he turns back to do his duties.

Once you put your name down on the sheet, something strange happens and in the back of your head you hear a voice saying to go to the tavern in the darkest part of the city. If you have any knowledge of the city, you know that this tavern is not a good place to do anything but you have that strange feeling that you might find something there that will give you some information that will help you understand what you need to do in more detail then what you have been infomed about.1

Assim shakes off some dirt, "Damn gaurds." He mumbles under his breath as he walks away and towards the point he was told about where he was to "sign up" to help. He reached teh destination seeing as it was just around teh corner. He walked up to the place and saw Aurika atanding there, but he walks past he and signs his name n the list as well. After that he turns to Aurika. "Uh I am going to asume you are Aurika, seeing as that is the only other name on here and also that you are standing here next to it. I am Assim." He says as he bows to her.

Aurika looked at Assim as he bowed. "Pleasure" She grunted back. She had never really been a social person and preferred to keep to herself. She started to walk off to the tavern but then turned to Assim "You should come to the tavern, I think there is something that will help us." She then continued to walk towards the tavern. Hurry up are you coming?"

Assim quickly caught up to Aurika, "Sorry about that was a little out of it. Thinking about he adventure ahead and the fun it will be." He the follows her quietly.

"Fun..ha more like volunteer work, and a death wish too." She replied back. "Especially for me.." She thought to herself as she saw a food stall. "But since theres a food stall on the way lets grab some grub..people like guards serving under Waterdeep get free meals." She said as she pulled out a parchment of paper that confermed she was working for Waterdeep.

Aydin straps his sword to his back and walks out of the barracks.  he looks around and sees the two figures at a food stand.  One of them is waving about a paper with the official seal of Waterdeep on it.  He goes over to question the two.

"Pardon me, madame.  I couldn't help but notice that you are in the employ of this fine city.  Might I procure the nature of your work?"

Assim turns to Aydin. "Oh, hello there sir. Well we just signed up to investigate a situation that has acured in the town. Very hush hush type thing." Assim says as he does a mocking greeting bow.

Assim says, "Oh I see how it is, they don't trust us people who just sign up so they have to give us some random gaurd that has been in charge of this thing no one knows how long." Assim walks around the other two, "So it is only the three of us that is to under go this dangerous and yet suspenceful adventure? When are we heading out it is rather dull standing at this food stand." Just as he said this he saw a noble walking by and he being out of sight of the other two pulls out his mind blade cuts the belt of the noble, returns the mind blade and turns back to the other two.

Aurika finishes her meal and watches as the noble starts yelling about "ghosts" cutting his belt. She then turns to Assim and stands up. "Yeah I guess it is just the three of us, since that guy just joined us." She then gives the guard a cold stare. "And dont think because your of a higher rank then me that I will respect you."
