I've been thinking of starting my own webcomic for quite some time now. Although I must admit I'm new to this comic stuff, I don't want this to be a one-day-fly. Therefore I decided to do some research before I plunge myself into the deep. You know, get a firm base on what I'm going to start. I've gathered a descent amount of tutorials and tips&trics about things as storytelling, drawing/inking, etc. I've got a reasonable good idea for the story, setting and charactertypes. Now I think its time for me to further define the characters. After this I can model the story more in-depth around them, and so on...
Although I've got some basic ideas about the process of creating characters, I couldn't find more information about this process. I've found a few websites wich handle this proces (wich aren't all that good if you'll ask me...) and managed to get 1 book: the comic toolbox. Allthough this book is quite allright, I still want to ask you guy's if you know some more recources I could use.
Do you know a good website/tutorial/book wich can help me with this process? Also I'm interested in how you guys handle these things?
One other thing: I also found this book "
Wizard how to draw - character creation". I wonder if anyone of you guys know if this can help me, as I've read on other forums that these books aren't all that okay.
Hope you guys can help me in this quest!
