    Comic Idea.

Alright. I was thinking about how much fun the battle threads are (Note: I'm talking about these at Drunk Duck: http://www.drunkduck.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4195 ) and how much they help me with learning about art, when I got this idea. I'd like to do a comic where I work with a partner (preferably someone better at comics than me).

It would be called "Master and Apprentice." The other artist would basically act as the master, and I would do the apprentice. We'd start with the master drawing different fighting stances, workout postitions, strange moves, etc., and then I, the apprentice, would have to put my character into the comic in the same pose. Think Mr. Miagi teaching the Karate Kid.

Later on it would evolve into the master drawing sparing partners and me putting my character into the fight. I ran this idea by Tea-san and he had a great idea. I could incorporate different artists by having different opponents in battles drawn by different artists. The battles will be even more fun because there will be all kinda of attacks, and I'll have to figure out ways to work my character into the fight.

If you're interested or know someone who might be, please tell me.

    Thanks
    Murphy

    RE: Comic Idea.

I don't really know any one who might be interested (because I don't really know anyone yet)  but I just had to comment.

Your idea reminds me of the relationship between Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso which occured during the birth of the cubist era of art.

Basically what they did was attempt to reproduce an element or theme from the others work while attempting out do the other. In this way both artists learned from each other while at the same time were compelled to push themselves further.

    So..... yeah.

I hope it works out for you it sounds like a great idea with wonderful possibilites.

I'd be down for that, it would certainly be something to see and as an artist I wouldn't mind drawing characters in it. I think it's a pretty nifty idea, go for it.
