    Re: RE: Games

you know, i was thinking about making a computer myself, order the parts and then build it... it would cost me about $2000-$3000 but the only upgrades that i would make in the next 5 years would maybe be graphics card and motherboard... i even picked everything out, now i need money, the case is awesome, high quality motherboard and processor, graphics card is good, it would have to last me a long long time

My Dad in the end decided it was a better deal to buy one already pre-made for me, so hopefully I'll get it sometime in the week.

    Ugh... pre-made computers...

It's ALWAYS a better deal to make it yourself; if you buy a pre-made machine you have to pay retail cost not to mention parts, labor, and shipping + handling. You can't go wrong with Newegg; you can purchase parts right from the factory so there is no retail markup so all you will have to pay is for parts and shipping + handling.

For instance my computer which I payed about $1300 for would easily cost close to if not over $2000 if I ordered it premade.

    Re: RE: Games

yea, i personally hate my computer...Dell... anything but Dell is a good computer, and i dont like macs but i hate Dells and thats saying something.  me and a friend for an assignment in my computer class compared a customized alienware computer(known for gaming quality) and designed our own, and it cost less that half which was around $4000 canadian, my dad went on this need to buy better computers as they came out when his became about 2 or 3 times absolite, so i've gone through a few computers in my lifetime so far, and i still wish me and my bro built a couple for him... would have been cheaper, would have gotten exactly what he needed, and it wouldnt have been a Dell

I know. My Dad though thought it was a good deal as it includes screen, mouse, keyboard and all the software, so he considered it a better buy than the one he would have to build.

It's not my fault! It was going cheap! I'm getting tomorrow after 5pm, that means I could be playing games that were made in the last two years by tomorrow night!

    Re: RE: Games

compatability with products from other people... the way they make their cases are almost forcing you to buy dell products to upgrade... its terrible

Ah I see. Plus all the Dell crap software and software that they put but you then have to pay a registration fee for, I've had to delete quite a bit of that crap.
