Wizard how to draw - books

For quite some time I've been thinking of getting started with my own comic. To help me in this quest I've been searching (and downloading) for quite a few tutorial-oriƫnted information. A few days ago I found a site wich had some scans from the book Wizard: how to draw. I went to amazon.com took a look at the index, wich amazed me how valuable this book can be for starters. unfortunately I found out that the book was out of stock and they don't know when/if it'll be back in store. I think wizard isn't making this one anymore.

I continued my search and found out that Wizard still sell's these books. I wonder if these books handle the exact same (or more) information as the first one, I can only view the cover - not the index or more.

Can any of you guy's help me with this question? Do the latter books handle the information of the first one and are they really a great help for starters?
Furthermore, advise on other books/websites/tutorials are also appreciated! (Especially info about character creation!)

I hope someone can help me out,
    Arch_Angel

My gosh I first found out about that book on that Live Journal site when people were actually BASHING IT!
Granted it was done by men, who, of course, have their views on how women could be depicted, but, hey, they're the ones who have their art in comic books across the world, ya know?
I've been searching for the book since then but haven't been able to find it anywhere and I hope they don't discontinue it's production, it could help a ton of artists looking to get into the field. But it is good that others have been made, as well!
And, as far as advise, I suggest you actually VISITA the live journal page! It has at least ten pages of lessons on proportions, and that sort of thing. Regardless of the fact only what some could interpret that it is at it's worse as far as it's opinions on woman(which, even as a girl and artist find no real problem)aren't the best. It helped me A LOT. http://ratcreature.livejournal.com/175099.html

hopefully you find this useful, too^^
