Hi Kieran,
I use Comic Press as well and it's great with search engines & setting up and laying it out is easy.  I think you did just fine.  The only thing that bugs me are those ads on the left side.  If you can remove it, I would and then rearrange the menus so they're balanced on each sidebar.
