Thats the sign I saw some kid holding on the way to work, along with mexico flags, signs saying "viva mexico", etc.

I say go back to Mexico if its so great.  I really hope this most recent bill passes, and I "really" hope they can figure out a way to stem the tide of that 20 billion dollars that goes south over the border every year.

I don't like the idea of anyone coming here and sending a good portion of their income to another country.  I've known many filipinos, Thai, Koreans, etc that came here, send a good portion of money home out of every paycheck, then eventually more family members come here who send more back home.

I'm all for immigration, my babysitters were my dad's best friends across the street who were mexican.  My little brother's godfather is Vietnamese.  My little brother is 1/4 Japanese for that matter.

But for gosh sake don't rob our country of money that should be spent "inside" our economy on American goods and services, as well as the taxes should would normally return to us.

And Mexico really really angers me, I hate it there.  The few times I went I was miserable.  Then I hear about the comic that the Mexican government made showing Mexican citizens how to get into the US.

Why would they do that!?!?  Of course it makes sense, 20 billion dollars a year going straight into their economy.  Its just another source of revenue.

Why doesn't the government build several dozen microchip factories and turn the ownership of the companies over to local corporations as cheap low-interest loans and really put some hurt on the Taiwanese chip industry.  Create some competition, create lots of skilled and semi-skilled jobs, and make the US very friendly towards an alternate source of microchips other than a source that could be reclaimed by China anytime.

Bah, I guess its easier to print and make comic books showing the citizens how to get to the US.   I guess we'll see if the Mexican president is just spouting retoric of wanting to try and keep his citizens in Mexico or if its just that, retoric.
