Blackadder: He's not a cripple, Mrs Scratchit. Occasionally saying "Phew! My leg hurts!" when he remembers to wouldn't fool Baldrick!

i prefere sorcerers, automatic spells when needed. if they were to release a class that has the spells available to wizards at the corresponding levels with the casts per day of a sorcerer, you would have one badas spell caster.

If you can tell me why it is or is not... I'll be impressed.

I find when I play sorcerers they become the equivalent of a chaingun, spraying damaging spells out onto the enemy.

Sorcerors have too much of a limit on spells known for me, which is why I prefer wizards, who can have an unlimited number. (Filled up a spellbook? Buy another!)

They can actually, the Erase spell takes care of that.

I really like playing my Psion, but I always get the feeling that there is no love for that class.  My husband seems to hate them (Okay, so the psion summoned a horde of constructs...) and right and left I hear people complain about them being over-powered.  Sure psions were allegedly broken/over-powered in 2nd Ed. but damnnit, they rock in 3rd/3.5 Ed.  I'm really concerned they'll nerf them or get rid of them in 4th Ed.

you can be a Psion in v3.5?! if i'd known that i would have choosen to be one rather than a bard.
(however, i plan to multiclass into a dashing swordsman as soon as i can)

Psions are one of the most commonly used classes I don't have rules for, and I don't plan on buying any more rulebooks until 4e. Also, I'm only allowing you to be a Dashing Swordsman because I like you. And OotS.

If you go here then you can find all the information on the Psion.
