    1) Dientress is a major continent, about half the size of Africa (still big).

2)The link right below the map should work... I assume you mean the "Dientres, Liev (The Known World)" link.

That's a pretty large continent, plenty of scope to travel around.

Game went well... Group raided the rooms and dispatched the enemies quickly.  Definately went well.  Now I call upon thee fans to suggest unto me... Visions and ideas for that I may borrow and implement upon my adventurers.

Cancel that ATB on needing vision ideas.  I thought up some dreams for each of them and now I must plan my next session.  Basically, I want to have them meet the 1st of 5 children of the original Dark Dragons; Helos.

Helos is a arrogant lil S.O.B. and he poses as a cleric of the Goddess Raven and preaches to young folk to join his pilgrimage.  He will claim his name is Thaye.

I figure he's going to kill a lot of the town's folk, including the noble that hired them.

Any suggestions on what I should do to go about this and hide the identity of Helos for as long as possible.

Have him go under the surname "Guy Incognito" and have him wear Groucho Marx glasses at all times

    No wait, scratch that...

So you want him to go into town a rompin and a stompin and have his identity concealed while doing it?  I havent seen too many assassin style dragons before Big Smile [:D]

Have the bad guy hire other bad guys to hire bad guys to do all the dirty work. Make the process very difficult to trace and heck even through in a leagle transaction in there someplace. Or you could have it such that the original bad guy could hire people to hire people to hire him. Thus taking the focus of why it was being done off of him and allowing him to still do the actual killing.

You lost me at this point but that means it's probably very good.

Re: The Return of the World within EPSC's Mind (D&D Campaign Discussion/Suggestions Centre)

I figure the group is going to awake the next morning to hear Thaye/Helos preaching rather loudly in the town square about how "The end is nigh!" and that everyone should repent for their sins before its too late.  While he is causing a scene, the town guards don't seem to care (These guards have been brainwashed during the night).

If the group (or anyone from the group) approaches him, he stops his preaching to greet them.  He seems nice enough and offers to bless them (prolly not a good idea since his blessing is really a curse in disguise, to be activated whenever he choses.)

He shows a pecularily keen interested in the group's warlock (who is descended from undead) and offers the group a job as bodyguards when he leaves for the next town in the next three days.

It is my hope in this time to mount suspcion against Thaye by both his physical appearence (pale, blond, and blue eyed = yellow dragon with blue eyes) and his actions "off camera" (Talking to his sister outside town who speaks of their mother becoming impatient).

If his cover is blown, he will activate the curse upon those who were "blessed" (WILL SAVE 20 to resist) and thrall them.  He will then turn the thralled upon the heroes and run into the temple.

I actually HOPE for a battle and them slaying this character.  This will trigger storyevent: Kidnap the paladin's son as part of the revenge of big sister "Rika/Rikkamia" against the party

The problem here is I want the darn game to last 2.5 to 3 hours.  Recomendations on how to drag the game out that long?

Well if you would want to drag it out but not really extend the story you could simply get a thief to pick their pockets and get them to spend half and hour looking around for the bas-tard. Get them to catch the thief, hand him over to the local town watch and get a small cash reward.

Somehow I have a feeling that this party would not hand over a thief if they caught him. Huh? [:^)]

Well then they'd lose the cash reward.

Re: The Return of the World within EPSC's Mind (D&D Campaign Discussion/Suggestions Centre)

I got a plot idea and I want everyone's input.

The Council of Six AKA the 6 Neutral Dragons, have no physical bodies.  They are pure mind/spirit.  They want to have physical bodies.  Enter Elans.

Elans are psionically charged abberations in the Expanded Psionics rulebook.  However, in my world, they are suppose to serve a purpose.  Here's the idea:

The Council choses various mortals who share either personality or (when they had been polymorphed) physical features and/or are psionically active and turn them into creatures called "Elans" by planting some of their essense into these mortals.

When enough of their essense has been planted, they will gather the Elans together and sacrifice them to create new bodies.

Here's the big Q: Would Neutral beings be willing to sacrifice the lives of mortals to survive or maintain their own status quo?  You see, the neutral dragons believe they need to be back in the world to maintain the balance between Light and Dark.

Re: The Return of the World within EPSC's Mind (D&D Campaign Discussion/Suggestions Centre)

I guess they would if they believe that by sacrificing these individuals they are maintaining a balance...perhaps some sacrifice on the Council's behalf maybe inorder to allow them to maintain a balance?

Re: The Return of the World within EPSC's Mind (D&D Campaign Discussion/Suggestions Centre)

No sacrifice on the Council's part.. cept I was thinking that the Ruby Dragon is reluctant to kill off his Elans because he actually comfortable with no body and he actually likes them, seeing them as friends.
