I would imagin climate control is avalible at least on a smaller level, which is why I had Tama have a garden in her room... hell her room is one giant garden.

I'm assuming Nature means, plants right?

Nature doesn't include the natural disasters which occur, such as volcanoes, the earth itself?  Is it all encompassing or is it just plants?

I would imagine nature is life energy, gaia, "mako" if you will. It covers the living aspects of nature, plants and animals.

    Re: The Jewels of Life

Normally I would agree that nature would deal with all aspects of Mother Nature, or Earth.  However, there is an Earth element in this game, so that has to pertain to some aspects of it.  Twitch mentioned that nature might mean Gaia, which I assume is the living aspects, so perhaps Earth is Terra, or the land itself (nonliving)

Other thought-Anybody remember Captain Planet?  One of the characters used earth, and all it was was rocks and such.

My theory (pure speculation until Necromancer responds with how he's running these elements) is that Nature and Earth both deal with the tangible aspects of a planet, but Nature allows power over that which is organic, while Earth controls inorganic.

Now, the other question I have is this:  Do these elements (and the others) deal simply with manipulation of what already exsists, or can they create whatever is under their elemental control.  Example-my character in the Unreal School game has power over water as well.  However, he can only use what water already exsists around him.  He can't, say, shoot a beam of water a la Dragon Ball Z.  Further along this train of thought, if you are dealing with creation, does that mean Nature can create a forest just by concentrating?

That would be cool. Could completely solve the fossil fuels crisis and re-grow the rainforest. I think we need some definitive boundaries on what we can and can't do with our powers before we can actually start using them.
A Good Deed is its own reward.
That, and getting to go to heaven.

    Re: The Jewels of Life

Those are good questions to ask and I admit it would be quite important to know, so excuse me for not replying earlier. As to the nature of the powers, they are not conjured from nothing. They are created using the elements around you. For example, if the fire-user needed a flame and fire was not in his immediate possession, he could create a spark from hitting rocks together and then expand that spark into actual flame.

As to the other powers...Earth is indeed inorganic and Nature is organic. Earth has all power over rock, but of course their are certain limitations. You may change the formation of the land, but beware of where you do it. For example, if you wanted to make a hill or something of that nature on Fridera, chances are good that magma will arise between the cracks that it causes. Also, try not to use it in great fashion. You know...like causing earthquakes and so forth.

Nature on the other hand, deals with both flora and fauna. You can control plants and animals to certain extents, but nothing extreme. For example, you can have nearby plants entangle foes to incapcitate them for a short time and you can even control other creatures to help you for a time. However, you can't say...cause trees to uproot and attack people or completely control a creature forever.

    ---------------------------------------------

There are many things that one can do with their powers, some are fine while others are overdone. If you have an idea for a power that you may use and aren't sure if it's appropriate or not, please refer to me and I'll tell you if it's alright.

Necromancer I sent you a PM, I don't know if you have learned how, but if you click on the inbox area it'll show you PMs you've been sent.  Please reply to that when you have a moment.

Ah.  Kind of like Pyro from X-men having flamethrowers on his wrists so that he always has a source of fire handy. Gotcha.

Hmm, a few of the players haven't made a starting post... Oh, you might want to remove the earth is still available so you don't get someone would be players' hopes up.
