I will have to admit my first brief experience with TP did not get me very excited either. But I have read a few books now and some of them are very good.

I really liked Reaper Man it was very funny and Men at Arms was my first experience but a good book. I have also read The Light Fantastic not one of the better books in my mind. Luggage was cool but the rest was nothing to special.

    RE: Literary Corner

Ah yes I finished reading the latest Sharpe book last week, only I forgot to do a write-up. Anyway, the book, Sharpe's Escape is set after Sharpe's Gold during the British and Portugese Army's retreat to the lines of Tores Vedras. Sharpe is having his command position as Captain of the Light Company of the South Essex threatened while he's having to deal with two Portugese traitors and escape from behind enemy lines! A good battle and a nice plot, I think this book is pretty good. However I think the book perhaps ends too quickly and the main villain of the piece has a lot of potential but doesn't quite make that leap to evil. The same great historical content, this book is worth the read.

Oh by the way Jwm I found two other mini Sharpe books which I had forgot to add to that list over at DCI. Sharpe's Skirmish and Sharpe's Christmas. I don't have Sharpe's Christmas but Skirmish is worth reading. Both are apparently mini stories of about 70pages, so you can read them all in one sitting.

Blackadder: He's not a cripple, Mrs Scratchit. Occasionally saying "Phew! My leg hurts!" when he remembers to wouldn't fool Baldrick!

Im thinking on re freaking reading the tolkien books.

But dunno, the first time it was kind of a chore cause the narrative drags so frickin much..

Any version or books with addendums or stuff you guys think could make me smile while reading it?

    Regards,

    Mike

Well I think it was National Lampoons that did a parody of the books called Bored of the Rings. It was pretty lame actually. Never mind that I mentioned it.

I got the Vampire clan novels out of the dustbin this week, and i do have to say, im enjoying them quite a bit more than the first time I read them. I mean, REALLY liking them this time around.

    Quite weird actually.

Mike and Leopold, sitting in a tree! Key-ay-ess-ess-ay---

And it's pretty cool you are liking the clan novels. Not only because the novels -while fluctuating in narrative quality along the books- have an interesting story that is honestly downright exciting in some parts but also because, you know, that means more Vampire games fo' all.
