Oh, just remembered something. If a female is turned male, eighter through transformation or a cursed item or something, and has sex with another female, would that other female have a normal possibility to get pregnant or is the transformed female infertile in male form?

I think thats up to you, most of the rule books don't go into that kind of thing. But from what I have read things like the Belt of Masculinity/Femeninity turn you it to a fully functional member of the opposite sex so long as you your self didn't have any porblems before the change. So if you turn into a girl you will have menstration and all those lovely things, and if you are a guy you will be pumped up on testosterone and have to battle wills with your penis in order to make choices that don't put you in jail.

Well I guess logically thinking if a female is fertile and is turned into a male then the male would be fertile as well. Also even if tf female has no sperm when transformed, the male sex organs do produce a heck of a lot of sperm everyday, so I would reckon the tf female would be fertile in male form, though I might be wrong .

Despite their ability to change forms, they can only get pregant by another doppleganger (though Issue #313, Nov 2002 of Dragon magazine has a template for half-dopplegangers, so DM's discrestion on that note).

Mating is when the dopplegangers are in their true forms. Unlike normal sex, they mate through what is best described as osmosis in which both exchange vital fluids and borh become pregnant. After nine months, rather than come out a vagina or other opening, the child splits off like an amoeba. The newborn gorws quickly, reaching maturity in only 5 years. It can shapechange after a month and is abandoned after 6 months, left to fend for itself. All births are single, no mulitple births are known of.

Wow!  Thanks!  They certainly are distinguished from the rest so far.  Certainly makes sense that they need to be in their original form in order to have sex....it would get rather confusing as to what the offspring would be otherwise

The amoeba part is highly unusual though.
