    Ghosts *serious*

Okay to begin anyone who begins singing the ghostbuster theme gets his head chopped off by MARKed.....

Anyway I remember having one of these on the old knc version so I thought I'd bring it back to life again.. To state the reason for this thread once again is so that people can share the weird, strange and fun encounters with ghosts/kitsune/obake/oni/tengu or other supernatural things they have encounterd. I please urge to leave U.f.o's and such out of this discussion. This is for the spirit world, not litle grey men.

Please share your story's or firsthand experiences here, also If you find some interesting photo's or movie you could share the link etc.

Have fun and take care, one piece of advice for all of you is a thing I have already found out. Dont go searching for spirits. By this I mean Ouija bords, summonings, satanic rituals and such. Try not to invite anyone if you know what I mean.

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

I had to stay at my sisters place, because her boyfriend is out of town. She never likes it to stay alone, because of the amazing amount of breaking and entry's they have had in that neighberhoud. Last time some punk also threw a stone through the window of her next door neighbour...So she asked If I would stay with her. My Grandfather kept joking about me being her "bodyguard" he he .

I had stayed there before, always in a litle guest room they have there. Everything was okay in the beginning of the night. No people, the neighberhood was quiet. I fell asleep soon. In the middle of the night I wake up. It most have been my eyes or something cause the whole room was flashing. From white to black. This didnt stop.... I walked out of the room, flashing ended. I could say flashed inside the room though...Checked outside of the window...No lights or anything. So I decided to go to bed again. Around 3 I woke up again. I felt like someone was staring at me or something. I look up and see this big shadow in the room. I sit up straight...gone... I checked around mentally. Sounds dumb yeah but its this weird thing you can acuire. Sometimes it helps to know where people of animals are. Nothing. I listen closely. Nothing. I go stand in that spot. Except It was really cold. But It was a cold night so it might not mean anything. So probably it must have been nothing. I never liked that room though, also the main bedroom isnt great either.

Im gonna get my eyes checked again soon.

And for you x files freaks around. Yes a old woman has died in that house. I believe it was an accident or someting. I need to check that sometime..

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

My mom told me about a year ago that the house we live in right now (and have since I was like... 6 or 7) might have once been haunted. This isn't a previously owned house, we had it built before we moved in. And anyway.. she told me that my brother's highchair used to sit in the kitchen (which I remember) and she said that she and my dad would be in the kitchen, or sitting in the room right beside the kitchen, with no one near the high chair and the detachable tray would shoot off and across the room about 4 or 5 feet. It didn't merely fall.. it shot off.

Another time, I was in the living room with my dad and the dog we used to have when I was littler. My mom was off somewhere.. in her room I think, and my brothers were outside. So my dad and I were watching TV and the door stop on the other side of the room makes that loud "brrrooooiiinnngggg" sound like when you press against it.. but no one was near it. I freaked out and said "What was that?!" and my dad said "..I don't know.." and we dropped it and it was left at that.

The night that my grandfather died (in 1997 I believe) I was lying in my room staring up at the ceiling in the dark (I had just gone to bed) and no one was around or making noise. Well as I closed my eyes, I heard "Kyle..." in a whisper. It was so soft and quiet.. it wasn't even a whisper... I have yet to explain that or anything else listed above.

So my mom got a glass and filled it with holy water (after she talked to a friend of the family who's into magic and stuff) and placed it on the floor beside her and my dad's bed. She left it there overnight. When she woke up the next morning and looked at the cup, it was filled with bubbles. Not just the ordinary one or two, the whole thing was bubbly and near frothing.

Ever since she did that, nothing's happened, to my knowledge anyway.

I doubt a lot of that derr....the videos are too blurry and could have easily been edited. And the fact it was on albino blacksheep.com isnt very reliable either. The photo's are even worse, many of wich have already been declared fake. The voice phenomenon...pfftt...come one. There's no way to proof that is real.

But thanks bleed for sharing that experience with us. It was very nice to read it. Werent you a bit scared when that happend?

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

Just to put a few thing s back in here that where lost since the former twc got deleted, from friends of mine who are also serious in this stuff:

#1: A friend of mine was walking home from work one night, through a path near a cementary. He saw a shadow of a human flying across the path in front of him. It was completely black. He couldnt see a face or anything. He turned around and found another way home.

#2: A good friend's mom once had a dream that she had woken up in her bed. She looked across her darkend room and saw a skeleton figure with a black gown or cloak  going through her draws in her cubboard. She could not see what is was looking for or anything. She just watched as it was doing this. Then it stopped al of the sudden. And she woke up again. She went to check in the draw it had stopped in. She found nothing really special, except a photo of her uncle. She went back to bed now. The next morning she woke up and got a phone call that (guess what,...) her uncle had died that very same night.

#3: A girlfriend of mine (eh he he I love dutch), not that sort off course. Once told a story about a cafe in Breda (a city I go to school in) that was believed to be haunted. After a certain time (I believe it was 11 pm.) A foul stench comes from the basement. Also if the cafe stayed open for longer then 11 pm, the later it gets the more strange things happen. Glasses fall down. Chairs put themselfs against tables etc. But the funny thing is, if the boss of the cafe closes down at 11 pm and just stays there quietly with or withouth someone with him. Nothing happens... They called a medium and she said that the people that had died there wanted it to be quiet! So now, whenever he can, he closes the bar early to help the spirits to rest.

#4: A story a teacher of mine ones told was also nice. It was about this appartment that was haunted. The ghost moved things around violently. Even the fridge one evening whent jumping around... The people moved away then...

Ehmm If I think about more I'll share with you. I love discussing these things....

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

My family took me to a candomblé (a Brazilian/African religion) ritual yesterday... wow, that was bizarre... summoning spirits and everything. Using drums and some prayers they called upon my grandma and another guy's bodies the spirits of Araruana, Zé-Baiano and Zé-Pelintra... the weird thing is that they knew what I did, they knew about my dead father and they gave me a list of things I must get to perform a ritual on my father's grave in order to make his spirit stop dragging me down...

...I must say, I was quite skeptical at first... but that was so bizarre and weird... it wasn't a thing to believe-or-not kind of thing... they were standing in front of me. I can safely say I'm no longer an atheist.

...on another note, Zé-Baiano is a really funny spirit . He jokes all the time.

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

Yinkies... ha ha. Summoning dead people's spirits. From what I've learned not much good comes from that usually. The spirits that got brought back mostly cling to the people that summoned them. But as long as it has helped you, who am I to judge.

I wonder what you mean with "standing right in front of you." Did you actually see your grandmother in front of you? If so what did she look like? And if so did the ritual involve smoking, drinking, or eating anything?

Ah and preforming a ritual on your fathers grave? To stop your father taking you in the grave with you? This is very personal I know but Im wondering how did your father die? Where you on good terms with him when he died? I cant really imagine why a spirit would remain on earth to "take someone with him".

Anyway MA thank you for sharing this story.

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

Whoa, man, slow down... you ask too many questions ! First thing off, my grandma is alive and well, this was probably misunderstood, she took part in the ritual, being the host for two spirits (one at a time, of course ). And when they "come down" you can see it in her eyes that it's not her talking. Creepy. And the ritual doesn't necessarily involve drinking (except for a few parts where you need to give 3 sips of beer and make three wishes and, maybe, the spirit will grant them) or smoking, but the spirits seem to like it (he, one of them even complained they didn't bring enough beer).

Now, about my father... he died many years ago due to a heart attack and his according to the spirits, my father's spirit isn't a good one and apparently he's trying to take me and my mother to the "other side" with him. According to what was said to me, the way I've been feeling recently is his presence's fault. So we need to make the ritual (involving 7 white candles, 7 glasses with water and 7 cigarettes) to get rid of him.

    You're welcome.

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

Aah! Please, I apologise for saying that your grandmother was dead. ...seeing it in her eyes. The drinking or eating question was aimed at the fact that they didnt slip you anything that contains anything that would make you hallucinate, or be more receptive to such experiences. But since they only gave you some beer...Im pretty sure its okay .

7 candles...7 glasses of water and 7 cigarettes. Hmm I'm interested. What are they supposed to symbolize? Light, purity and... hmm hmm... Are you going to do this ritual? If so, please let us know how it went. I'd be carefull though...

    RE: Ghosts *serious*

No, they didn't slip me anything hallucinogenic and the beer was only four sips... it'd take me more than 10 bottles to get me that drunk...

Oh, BTW, the name of the religion is umbanda not candomblé as I had previously stated... and 7 is like the number of god... there are 7 virtues, 7 states of the soul and 7 erm... something I can't remember now... there are also 7 types of higher spirits and 7 types of inferior spirits (like the exú kind, the one my father became). I performed the ritual today with my mother and my grandmother at my father's tomb, since it's not safe to wander around in graveyards alone... spirits may want to joke with you. Anyways, all went well, I hope my father's spirit will be able to rest now and stop messing with our lives.
