What drives you to stay alive?

I was wonder as I walked down the street today.I heard about A father of a family, killed his wife and daughter, then killed himself. Then I was thinking to myself, he must have been really brave or really stupid if he killed himself. Then i thought what is keeping me from just walking into the road and letting some car come and run me over? I'm not afraid of death.  Then it hit me. The only reason why i don't just let my life go is because I don't want to leave my friends and i don't want my family to be sad and i just wonder whats the next day brings. I know this topic is a downer. but think about it, whats stopping you?

RE: What drives you to stay alive?

It used to be that I kept living because I wasn't finished doing so, it was all about the experience. You've got to live your life while you can. I would live until the day I died and then I'd be dead and it wouldn't matter. My purpose was to survive as long as I possibly could and enjoy the trip while it lasted. But at the same time I wasn't afraid of death, I was more than willing to accept it when it came, I just wasn't looking to find it.

These days, though I have more of a reason to live *cough*Mod-Inside*cough*

I used to think the same as Fluffy, until I realised that the trip wasn't at all enjoyable.

The only reason I'm still alive is that I have too many 'loose ends' I need to tie up before I go.

I am still alive because I don't have the guts to kill myself. Nothing in life really pleases me, but I always feel like that, if commit suicide, I may be missing something... So, I just wait for something/someone to come and show me that life doesn't suck that much... I'll probably rot before that something/someone comes...

RE: What drives you to stay alive?

I'm alive because if I will deeply hurt people who love me. But sometimes I want to tell them to screw off and I wonder why I'm staying alive just for them.

Other days I look at my life and notice how sucky it is and feel I'm wasting my life. I'm too scare to kill myself. I feel it's the little things that make you look forward to tomorrow, like a warm smile, someone asking if you're okay, sharing a laugh, then I realize maybe life is okay and not that "sucky".

Anyways, I feel way too many people just wait for someone to come along and save them and make them happy. I'm guilty of feeling the same way.

Well this was a personal post.

                                                          Hope everyone has awesome tomorrow.

I guess. But I think everyone's the same way, they just wants to find happiness and it's hard to be happy when you're by yourself.

People say you should find happiness in yourself but it's tiring being your own cheerleader.

Self-esteem can be a fragile thing sometimes.

RE: What drives you to stay alive?

    I don't want you dead.

And catchguess people who want to save another person are always around you all the time. It's just that it may be hard to see through a person fake mask. Where inside a person screctly bitter and sad, but in the out side they show nothing but happeness.

I don't know why i thought about this or saying this.I just figured out why i want to be a fireman. I want to beable to save people to give them another chance in life.

RE: What drives you to stay alive?

Everyone's always is a rush to get to the end first. I keep going, well because I rather like living. And I am beyond helpless with my fear of death, but by the time death comes, I'll be too dead to be scared

Plus, I got to get to England ^_^

RE: What drives you to stay alive?

Life is death. Death is life. As for my reasons for being alive, well, I prefer to keep them to myself, but safe to say I am not the depressed, suicidal person I was this time last year.
