i actually tried to make sword-chucks:

    two tantos
a little chain from home depot
    a lot of duct tape

it was an interesting weapon to say the least.

i'll put pictures some day when my camera stops being so sucky

    RE: Anyone know where...

I can see how sword chucks MIGHT be able to function. But you would have to be ungodly skilled to use them without injuring yourself, maybe Bruce Lee could have been able...

    RE: Anyone know where...

yeah but bruce lee wouldnt dare using those, his hands are too "presious" to try out weird and new weapons, lol

8 BIT KABUKI!!! *Now with more sword chuckin hurya!*

On the lil note, in the real not so cool world Swords chucks are completely un-usable due to the physics and mechanics of long swords and chains, basicly.. they dont do well together But alas, thanks to the infinte space and quantum physics of the fictionite world we can all hail the mighty swordchucks in the 8bit theather.

    Hardcore, Fighter. Hardcore.

BESM isnt exactly a gameworld, its a basis to create games based around the premise of the anime world. But id doesnt really have a basic world setting or so, even though there are some suplements out there which make such. It will all work all the Better if you go to yuor GM and ask him for the maps and background if youre going to use it for your character story.That. or Give yourself free reign and see him blow steam from his holes when you do something totally different from what he had intended to do

BESM, by the way, rawks the socks if you have a bit of imagination and many a moment to put that to use.

By the way...  While i do love fighter and his hyjinx, I can say without doubt that im rooting for the bad guy there. Go Black mage, go! *stabbity stab!*

    Regards,

    Mike

    RE: Anyone know where...

Fighter is so dense you can't but help to like him. Actually I like Thief because he has got all the angles covered. Though White Mage is kind of cute.

    RE: Anyone know where...

mmm, sword-chucks are possible, but they would have to be completely simmetrical swords, of same weight, and shape, and with a perfect balance point, and they would still be pretty dangerous to yourself, but hey, you could be kicking some ass with style!

    RE: Anyone know where...

Make a salad outa the body pieces of yourselves you cut, you mean?

And c'mon... face it, in a fight between swordchucks and Jay Leno's chin, you know damn straight just who would win.

    RE: Anyone know where...

    The viewers!

And alas.. please. PLEASE. Stop with the Sword chucks. If you ever had a sword, nunchakus or anything that even implies circular wide motions you would know a sword cannot work this way because of physical laws. And even if you where to pass that with micro-level industrial sharpness, id like to see the animal trying to wield two blades united by a chain when balanced blades have their grav center as to its own structural center, and not the base point or the tip as it is needed for a chainned weapon.

    *sigh*

In the end, swordchucks are so undoubtfully stupid they can work for a comic, And that is why we love them. Now, onwards.

    Regards,

    Mike
