    RE: Auto Racing (revived)

OK, sounds good...Ill have to experiment

Here is the lineup for the 2004 Bud Shootout (all star race for pole sitters of 2003 and previous winners of the event)

    #23-Dave Blaney
#?-Geoffrey Bodine (won event in 1992)*may not run
    #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr.(won event in 2003)
#9-Bill Elliott (won event in 1987)
    #24-Jeff Gordon
#?-Jeff Green ? *may not run
    #29-Kevin Harvick
#88-Dale Jarrett (won event in 2000)
    #48-Jimmie Johnson
    #18-Bobby Labonte
    #5-Terry Labonte
#6-Mark Martin (won event in 1999)
    #19-Jeremy Mayfield
    #42-Jamie McMurray
    #12-Ryan Newman
    #?-Steve Park *may not run
    #38-Eliiott Sadler
    #01-Boris Said
    #49-Ken Schrader (won event in 1989 & 1990)
    #20-Tony Stewart
    #10-Mike Skinner
#2-Rusty Wallace (won event in 1998)

    Notes:
Jeff Green-Won pole in #30, now runs #43, but Petty cars do not have Budweiser sticker, and cannot run

Geoffrey Bodine-Has no ride and seems to have no intentions to qualify for event

Steve Park- Won 2 poles last year, however lacks a ride, and cannot run in either car he had last year because he is now under Dodge contract and must run a Dodge for the event

LOL That was superb entertainment guys, "THE TEXT! The text! the text....." great stuff. Ever thought about being a comedy duo?

Is this Bud Shootout likely to be fuel dependent? I think I know the one guy is who wants it to be .

    RE: Auto Racing (revived)

I dunno if driving me to the limit is a comical act...for mine own part *grumble*

The Bud Shootout does have 1 necessary pit stop, but its mandatory, so nobody can extend fuel milage, sorry Ryan But that mandatory pit stop often has a real barring on how the finish goes. It is a pit stop the crews must hit just right, provided there isnt a caution flag

I note in the entry list for it there is no Matt Kenseth. What's he doing over the next couple of weeks.

    RE: Auto Racing (revived)

Right. Kenseth didnt win any poles in 2003 and never won the Bud Shootout, so he is ineligible.

Im not sure specifically what he's doing, but chances are, he either went to test at Homestead-Miami, Rockingham, or Atlanta. Along with the fact that hes definetly been at Daytona, testing his qualifying setup. Qualifications for the Qualifying Races/Daytona 500 occur on the Sunday, the day after the shootout.

Still though, it wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining if Tybs had actually have said font in the first place.

    RE: Auto Racing (revived)

What would be your NASCAR DreamTeam? I just thought that my F1 Dream team would be Jenson Button & Kimi Raikkonen using the Williams car on Michelin tyres. I don't know why I started thinking of this.

I dunno. Probably put Mayfield and McMurray in Hendrick Dodges...Bwaahaha! That'll never EVER happen

Why won't it happen? And why the evil laughter?

    RE: Auto Racing (revived)

Because Jeff Gordon is under contract for Hendrick, for life, Hendrick is under contract with Chevrolet, and Chevrolet has invested in Jeff Gordon.

    And not evil laughter...sarcastic laughter
