    24 hours of Daytona news:
(as I said in a pm on the motorsport forum)
    CONGRATS TO CHRISTIAN FITTIPALDI!

He becomes the first Brazilian and the first NASCAR driver to take home the checkers of the 24 hours of Daytona.

His team was running second when Stewarts and Earnhardt Jrs team had suspension troubles, and Fittipaldi and team mates were able to take advantage and take the checkers! Well done!

Hmm, I don't think the TV times are going to matter over here, since the Daytona 500 would only be shown on Eurosport. But it does sounds like a great couple of weeks of motorsport. Boy, I wish I could watch it, I'm still heavily deprived of motorsport. Which events are you most looking forward to?

Always look forward to the Qualifying races, the Busch race, and of course, the 500

Your are very lucky to have a week like that.

Meanwhile Jenson Button and BAR are continuing to impress in their pre-season testing. Button set a new unofficial lap record at Barcelona in the new BAR006. He went faster than the old time (one he set a month ago in a hybrid car) by about one second. Hopefully with this car he can claim his first podium (I'd like to hope for a win but I'm too realistic).

I also hope Button has a chance for a podium finish this year

I dont think a podium is too much to ask for. Im hoping for a good year for the lesser successful teams. It could happen...except for Minardi, of course.

When does the F-1 season kick off?

@Oki What text is that in your sig?

F1 starts on March 7th. I want Jordan to do well this year, hopefully they would have either Ralf Firman or Allan McNish driving for them that way I'll have a driver to cheer on too (other than DC and Button).

Isnt Firman and McNish the only two drivers opting for that ride?

    Not cheering for DaMatta?

    RE: Auto Racing (revived)

I have no idea what context it is taken from, I just searched for Quotes on Google and found that one. Thought it made some sence even if I`m an atheist

And the Ice cream thinghy came from the same place, but I have forgotten who said it
