I would like to know something though when Jwm first become a spammer?
    Scratchit: But he's a cripple!
Blackadder: He's not a cripple, Mrs Scratchit. Occasionally saying "Phew! My leg hurts!" when he remembers to wouldn't fool Baldrick!

RE: This thread is for JWM

The instant I stepped into the forum I was invited (told to spam or else) join in the fun. I started a bit slow but by the time the first 100 post went by I was hooked. There were days when I would post on any thread just because I was bored. I remembe one time when Kayless posted an announcement ina thread and then locked it. It had no replies. I could not stand it. I went on and on about how much it bothered me to see a thread with no replies posted, and it was a sticky so it stayed on the top.

I say both of you should get a job this next summer. No sense in wasting the summer away in front of a PC.

Don't run around so much. A job will be much easier than that.

Re footy: not a bad move to miss the game for reasons mentioned previously. The Aussie Rules pre-season Cup competition starts this weekend - you should be able to see the Sydney-Carlton game sometime on TV. I'm not sure what happens in Sydney Though. In the southern states we get 4 or 5 Aussie Rules games televised each weekend, and the Rugby "match of the week" gets wedged in around 2 am on Sunday morning - it's probably the reverse in Sydney.

Yeah, from the reports I read in the paper they did not play the good players. Hmm, well since I don't really have a TV to watch I will not be catching any games on the tele. Unless I head down to the pub and watch one there.

Sounds like as good an excuse as any.....

BTW, I noted your comment about unfamiliarity with the local lingo. If you like I can post up a few examples of our vernacular and you can try working them into your conversations. You'll be accepted as a local in no time!

    Here's one for tomorrow:

"go stick your head in a dead bear's bum" which loosely translates as "go away and stop bothering me with your idiotic remarks".

With the number of blowhards we have here, you should have no trouble finding the opportunity to use it (but be cautious with rugby players).

I'll have to remember that one for my next meeting with an architect.

If you want a bit of variety, "go plait your shit" is another phrase that means about the same.

Whereabouts in Sydney are you staying?

You growl?  Your eyes don't glow red when you growl, do they?

Good to see you back Squire, where have you been?

Nice avatar by the way...is the ferret wearing glasses?

RE: This thread is for JWM

The sixth form? Is that a class I just havent heard of yet?

Color changing eyes? What do you write down on those forms under "eye color"? Do your eyes change color according to moods?
