I wouldn't say I "blend in". Everyone seems to notice my accent. I don't have an accent, but I sound like I am from Canada I guess. Atleast that is their first guess.

Oh everyone has an accent You just cant notice it. To you, you dont have the accent, its everyone else that does.

I dont have a Boston accent, and I say I dont have an accent at all, but Ive got a northern New England accent, in reality.

Just one more tip on the lingo....

In Sydney, it is considered mildly offensive to greet people with "Good Day", "Hello" or "Good Morning". The usual local greeting is a hearty "Go fuck yourself!"

Don't forget Darwin and Canberra were also free settled.

Canberra's dull - everyone works for the government. Darwin is a bit of a Wild West town still (well at least a version of the Wild West where people drink 18 hours a day).

Hmm adds Darwin to list of places to visit, crosses off Canberra.

I have heard that Adelaide is one of the sleepiest towns around. Pretty much just a sit back and watch the traffic go by. Which consists of only the tourists since everyone in Adelaide is sitting back and watching.

That's a pretty accurate description of Adelaide, which, all things considered, make it a pleasant place to live in.

Melbourne would be my favourite of the Oz cities overall, though.
