heh, that'd explain it
I used to be pretty creative too, a while back... during 6th to 9th grade me and a couple of friends spent a lot of time writing scripts, games (boardgames and textbased games), we made films (sometimes just short scetches and clips) and did some acting
most of the stuff we made was merely for amusing our fellow classmates, sometimes just for keeping ourselves entertained, so there were mostly comedy, more or less, a lot of it was the sort of stuff you'd only understand if you'd known us for a long time, but some of it was actually very good
we once made this turnbased RTS game where we decided, after about a month of working on the rules whenever we got a chance to, that our only limitations would be our own imaginations... in other words, using the terrain, resources and hidden strategies were quite a big part of the game... problem was, in the end it became so advanced, we only played through one round (took us about 3 months) then we decided, despite being fun at the time, it was too timedemanding ^^ (at first we used the world as our board, but after about a month we realized that would last forever, so we relocated all our assets to Asia and kept the battle going there)
another time, in the spring semester of 9th grade, we managed to raise our grades in history by making this film about the cold war... it was partially a documentary, partially screenplay... we even managed to sneak in a couple of jokes ^^
I guess one could say we, when together, had the opposite effect on eachother of holding the others back whenever they came up with a silly, sometimes downright stupid, ideas... in fact, we kept encouraging eachother, so we often got into more or less trouble ^^
that creativity unfortunatly sort of soothed down when we began in highschool, as we all went seperate ways... hehe, better call them and cause some havoc in the summer
BORK!
