    Re: Enter... The Tomb

I now see what you meant about the Paladin's player have the Sense Motive skill of a carrot.  I read that and starting rofl!  Weren't you all together for character creation?  Hmm

    Re: Enter... The Tomb

Nope, only the character's player and the DM have access to any given PC's sheet. So the PC's only know as much as they're told about each other. In the case of me, that means not much. In the case of the paladin and the Drizzt rip-off, it means they'll tell their whole life story to anyone who'll listen.
I swear, now you're just doing it to piss me off.

    Re: Enter... The Tomb

With me, on the rare occasions I've been able to make a character without being the DM, I tend not to say anything about the character unless asked about him/her - then I share/make up the information freely.

    High Seas Hijinks

I'm currently playing a werewolf psion (Kineticist/Energist) in a pirate themed game.  I would recount the tales that ensue but I'm pretty sure they're of the PG-13 to R variety.  I'll compile the adventures into a blog of some sort and post a link.  Suffice to say, there are innuendos abound and the crew is as insane as the characters from One Piece (It's a pirate anime, very amusing if you find fan-subs)

I'll say this much, the boat is called 'Thunderfist' and we're known as "The Pirates of the Raging Storm" due to our affinity towards electric attacks and other weather themed moves.

    Re: High Seas Hijinks

I look forward to reading that blog, ESPC Wink. However you have succeeded in having the theme to the children's cartoon Captain Pugwash stuck in my head, people made up innuendos about it because one of the crew was called Master Mates...you might be able to see how a simple mishearing could cause a little bit of trouble. However a newspaper completely made up Roger the Cabin Boy, Seaman Staines and Ben Dover...Pirate Willy on the other hand was a real character...

    Re: High Seas Hijinks

I'd be interested in reading the blog too, but I'm not sure exactly how interested - the R rating might put me off a bit.  I suppose if it gets a bit much for my sensibilities, I can always close the tab.

    Re: High Seas Hijinks

There's nothing really overtly sexual.  We just make a lot of jokes.  Our crew is small but we're working on recruiting namless NPCs for that.  Our illustrious captain, Kamir Entrope, a Cassin, suffers from permanent sea-madness and until last mod, had a sock puppet as our second-in-command.  It's as I told the newer recruits "Our By-laws are VERY clear, if the captain and his puppet are unavailable, I assume command since I'm the one with the compass and map."

Here's the link, although I haven't entered in all the entries, it gives you a vague idea of what I go through.

That was great!  Not nearly enough, but still great.

Fun stuff, I'm surprised the ship didn't spontaneously combust with two Gnomish shipwrights about.

The only blowing up occurs to our enemies when I use my energy powers.  Wink

    Re: High Seas Hijinks

Does that happen a lot? Also how tempted are you to do some Pirates of the Caribbean stuff?

    Re: High Seas Hijinks

I barely remember the movie, actually. We're wierd and funny in our own rights.

Ylenia is a Kineticst/Energist.  This means she is highly specialized in energy manipulation (ie Fire, Electricty, Sonic & Cold) and I often use Fire or Electricity for their effects.  Once I reach ECL 15, I can use my powers  through my psicrystal to up to a mile away.  Who needs cannons when you can set ships on fire a mile before you get there? Devil

    Re: High Seas Hijinks

I bet the are pirates who would grumble about that, "Oh yeah sure usiong psychic powers works but its not like the old days when we pulled alongside and blew the *** out of each other with cannons at point blank range. Those were the days!" Stick out tongue
