Okie... It pains me to read this thread and see that the one American that replied won't vote. Eze said it right when he said that the young voice isn't being heard. That's one of our biggest problems over here. Sure MTV is worthless, but they have made a good point in drilling into the young minds of this country that our last election was way too close. If the younger generation would have made a better effort to get to the poles, Bush might never have made it into power. This could have meant big things as far as all of this ****ing war stuff goes. If we keep letting the old, rich Republicans have control, this country has nowhere to go but down. I for one am not looking forward to that. We need to vote in this election, and get someone into office who can help turn things around. I think Kerry just might be the man able to do that. I'm not trying to push my political views onto anyone here, I just wish more young Americans would pay more attention to politics, and embrace the fact that a few votes can make a difference.

Thats right, they can, but not always the way you want them to. Remember Bush was actually beaten in the last election.

Oh trust me Spree, I haven't forgotten who really won the last election. Anyway, for those of you who want to know why I hate Bush so much, but hate reading through a bunch of political essays, reports and the like, check this game out. http://www,bushgame.com The game takes about 45 minutes to complete if you read all of the text. Believe it or not, it is rather informative.

    *meows* works for me..

Anyway, back to the topic on hand, I think Kerry won the first debate and Bush the second...

RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

It doesn't matter how much Bush ****s up, it doesn't matter if Kerry trounces Bush in the debates, it makes no difference because so many ****ign morons are going to vote Bush regardless...

One infuriating opinion was hearing some guy saying how he doesn't like Bush, but would keep him because he doesn't trust Kerry... because of this whole swift-boats for truth bull****.

In other news I was surprised to find Microsoft heavily funding Kerry's campaign and sickened and disgusted to find out that Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) supports Bush.

RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

Well, perhaps not a ****ing moron, but if not; Intolerant, greedy, obnoxious, ignorant, racist and/or dilusional.

Or perhaps one of the fools who doesn't like Bush, but would rather keep him than 'risk' Kerry. Another four years of Bush has the extreme potential to ruin your country even further, and you wont notice until it's too late. There will be masses of low-income socio-economic problems while the rich fat-cats enjoy having 'earned' over 50% of the tax breaks given to them by Bush and Cheny's corrupt, greedy and intolerant government.

Aside from that, here is some bits I picked up from an article in 'The Guardian' today.

60% of Britons do not like Bush, this rises to 77% in under-25s. I'm not particularly fond of any large group of people, never mind my own nation's but these stats are encouraging, there is some intelligence out there.

It goes on to detail the results of an international opinion survey. On average from the countries surveyed (Canada, France, Britain, Spain, Russia, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Israel and South Korea) Kerry has the support of 54%, whereas Bush only has 27%. Only Israel supports Bush (50% to 24%) outright, namely because he allows them to continue their oppresion and occupation of Palastine. France leads the Kerry support with 72% to a 16% for Bush.

The survey also shows that only Israel likes Bush, whereas most countries are diveded over whether or not they like Kerry, but the figures lean in Kerry's favour, 42% that like him over 26% that do not.

The study shows that the world still has respect for America and the American people but most agree that their opinion has worsened since Bush seized power.

The world disagree's with the Iraq war, bar Israel of course, 'gotta love them arab killings'. This doesn't deserve mentioning though, too much scope has been focused on the Iraqi war instead of issues afecting the American population, such as health care and corporate fat-*******s getting 85 times the wage of an employee (This is only 14 times in Britain, thankyou Bushgame.com).

Most countries believe that the american system of government is a good model, except for Britain, although we were the only parliamentary democracy asked that particular question, the rest were republics.

The world thinks that America will continue to dominate the world economy. Although nobody actually realises the economic potential of China, I believe that China will 'awaken' within the next 10 years and begin to make one hell of a lot of money for itself.

Most do not see much difference between the republicans and the democrats, though they do see a difference. Most countries disapprove of the US's economic policy.

    The analysis:-

World (except Israel): Bush Bad, Kerry ok. Kerry over Bush andyday.

I apologise if you or anyone thinks I'm a bad person because I don't vote. And I very well may be. But they are just as bad as each other. And it's my choice to suffer because I didn't speak up for anyone, about anything.

You know, Ezekiel, just because people don't agree with you, doesn't make them 'morons' or 'fools'... there are just different ways to look at things.

I realise that, but most of the time they are.

And it was so good to see such detailed analysis and debate of my long detailed post.

RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

The problem with debating on this forum is that most people here are either American or read The Guardian - I saw that thing about China too, and the model is already there for the next superpower (booming economy, oppressed media, appauling human rights record), I'm just not sure if China will be able to find as many allies as America has.

Did anyone else see that wire on Bush? He was doing some press conference thing (or whatever) and you could see it under his jacket when he hunched. Also, half way through a sentence he stopped and said "don't interrupt me", even though no-one was talking. This is the latest in a long line of incidents that I think warrant calling any Bush-voters morons.

Oh yeah, nobodys mentioned the missing uranium yet. The Yanks were meant to be guarding some nuclear site in Iraq, and its now been found that a lot of what was there is no longer there and has now been cropping up on the black market. People are saying how crappy the US military are for letting this happen. And while this is true, I think its more likely that the US military sold it to some developing country. Or maybe some kids outside the school playground.

RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

I didn't actually see any article on China, as far as I can recall. I just kinda built up the idea myself. The increasing amount of Chinese people studying business and politics etc., especially at our university it seems. Couple with what I saw they can come up with for their new grand prix circuit lead me to the belief. Plus other various facts.

I saw the thing about the wire though, heh. Bush's tailor apparently said something about it being a 'seaming' error or some bull**** like that.

I didn't see the thing about the uranium though, I've had a week long headache and haven't read or watched anything in much detail, which also explains my recent crankiness.

Oh yeah, I feel I should enlighten on my earlier point. If you do not agree with my opinions, it doesn't make you a moron or a fool, I've met some very intelligent nazis and bigots in my time. I don't have much respect for opinions of greed, intolerance or just plain stupidity (I'm well aware of the hypocrisy of that statement so don't bother pointing it out, I just don't care).

Also this is mainly towards right-wing views, I don't agree with some of spree's ideas but they're not based on intolerance, greed or stupidity etc.

I doubt that a longer reply would have changed your mind on anything...

but, anyway, I don't really care about the aprroval ratings of other countries, I mean, they will hate us regardless, due to jealosy over our power..

So if I have conservitive views, I'm a bigoted nazi? It doesn't sound like I'm the intolerant one here... try getting to know some of the people you demonize.. you might be surprised at what you find..
