... You realize, of course, that if Squall had been spouting shakespearean vows of love to Rinoa that you would be critiscizing the ridiculousness of that... right?

In any case, what could be a truer act of devotion than piggybacking her corpse halfway across the world on the off chance that someone in Esthar could help her, risking his life for her repeatedly, and then busting her out of the sorceress imprisonment and thereby branding himself a planetwide criminal?

1) No, but that's the opposite end of the extremes. There is nothing remotely romantic about telling her "Get off me. Go sit down. Stop talking to me. I'm tired of this conversation."

2) Yes, he did break her out. After he handed her to them and said, "Have a nice eternity. Hope I never see you again."

3) Carrying her was like the thoughts. It doesn't matter what you do if she doesn't know you did it. I could write a beautiful love song for my fiancee, then burn it. Will I get points for that? No.

1) He told her to return to her seat before too. The moment she sat in his lap he told her to get in her seat.

And "Whatever" is not an acceptable love term, regardless of the circumstances. He could have at least said something even remotely caring. You still have yet to point out a single comment in that entire conversation that illustrated even the tiniest bit of feeling for Rinoa.

2) He waited until he would be putting the entire damn world in danger before he did something for her. He doesn't love her. He just likes the thrills.

3) And the world would have been better off. See point 2.
