Spree:Ulysses has been sitting in my 'to read' pile for about 6 months now... its big, is it worth it? As much as Flann O'Brien refers to him, I've never actually read any Joyce.
I dreamt I didn't wake up in time to go sign on this morning because I'd forgotten that that was today and did not get enough sleep. Indeed, the shock of forgetting such a thing awoke me... just in time to get up and go sign on. And yes, I'd forgotten it was today. Thanks for reminding me, Mr. Dream.
Read it only if you really have a looot of time and mental energy to spend. It's cram-packed of references, paralels to the Odyssey and weird symbolisms. I often see myself using this website: http://ksumail.kennesaw.edu/~mglosup/ulysses/ to see if there's anything I missed. Also the stream-of-consciousness takes a little time to get used to. It does reward you, though.
Wow, Shiru is back! Hellcum back, Shiru!
Oh, ***, I gotta scram again. I've got a School Organization class to go now. *** useless subject, it only serves to tell me how bad our school system is (as if we didn't know that already).
