Such a morbid topic, but anyway.

Which characters do you think have a better chance of dying as part of the curent story line.

Note: Damien dosen't count.

Hmmm... this is tough.  So far the only character in the whole strip that Dan has killed has been The Goo so its kinda hard to judge who he kills.

I'd say Vlad, and only because he seems to be the meanest of the three brothers.  I dont think it will actually happen, but thats who Im voting for.

I think Vlad is the most likely to die, but Hedge by heroic self-sacrifice seems quite possible too...

Out of the good guys I would say Nanase. Grace is like the main character and Elliot could also be classed as main character. I can't see Ellen being killed off. It wouldn't seem natural. Frankly I doubt Dan would kill off anyone except Damien and possibly Vlad.

Lets see... I seriously doubt Grace, Elliot, Sarah, Susan, Justin, or Tedd will die.  There still is the possibility that Ellen may die (we've been looking at the topic of her death since we met her (okay, not EXACTLY that long, but close enough))

In all actuality though, I think if Dan had to kill off one of the people in the current story line, he'd take Hedge.  Why?  Of the brothers, he's the one we've become the most enamoured of.  His death would hit us much harder than the death of Guineas or Vlad.  Not only that, but what would really become of him after the fighting is over?  What would he, as a character, bring to the dynamics of the comic?  I think that if Dan wanted to kick us in the stomach with the death of a character, Hedge would be it.

 

(okay, so i had an idea for Hedge's life after Painted Black.  Hedge, Vlad, and Guineas get an apartment together and try to live normal lives even though they're all part animal and have no real experience in the outside world.  It'd be funny in a Sit-com kinda way)

I agree with Tiamat. If anyone is doomed to die it is Hedge.

He is the only one of the brothers who truly grasp's how evil damian is. Vlad fears him but follows willingly, guiness I think he doesn't know better, but as for Hedge he hates Damian.

I believe his death will be the result of an action by Damian. In the end I believe he will sacrifice himself to save another.

I've been thinking the same thing for a while now but I really hope it isn't going to happen because Hedge is fast becoming my favourite character. As for what role he could play after the current storyline I think he could easily become one of those guides that hides in teh shadows and emerges when the time is right. Don't forget he is able to transform to a human so a normal life isn't COMPLETLEY ruled out.

I would say that Graces "Father" would die from self sacrifice or something else. I don't know i just have the feeling.

Perhaps the character with the largest axe over her head in my opinion would be Nioi. As evidenced by the brief scenes of Lord Tedd so Far, she seems to be one of the few things keeping him.. "humane".
Her loss would naturally knock the last remaining "Teddness" out of him.

I have to admit though... i wouldn't be surprised if Dan went the "darth vader" route with that one, where the characters make some sort of attempt at redemption for him

Nioi isn't nearly importent enough (as far as the current storyline is concerned) to warrent her death.  Now, if Dan wants to kill her off once the "universes" storyline starts, then thats his call i suppose...

I don't think that the Tedd in Nioi's dimension is *the* Lord Tedd (aka Alpha Tedd) from the Goo Monster dimension (even though the General Shade Tail in Nioi's dimension does call their Tedd  "Lord"). Alpha Tedd had black pits where his eyes should be, Nioi's Tedd does not.

As to that: Dr. Sciuridae has yet to tell Nioi abut how to defeat the General Shade Tail of her own dimension, so I doubt that either of them will get killed (at least not yet). It may be Hedge and/or Vlad, though, particularly now that we have learned that the Omega form may be weaker "in the long run", requiring her brothers to back her up to bring Damien down.

PS: there is also Beta Tedd seen in the "Sister" storyline and of course Tess from the AF04 dimension. That makes five Tedd variants thus far: Alpha Tedd, Beta Tedd, Tedd-Chan (our Tedd), Tess and Nioi's Tedd.

Vlad might be dead allready. Would explain Damien's reaction.

I don't see Hedge dieing, per se. Of all the brothers he is the only one that can exist in human society and the only one that has shown even a hint of realization that he needs to reevaluate his lifestyle. I see him walking off into the sunset and showing up in fillers and NP.

Guineas...no clue. At all.

Ellen, definatly not. Dan has admitteted to planning to kill her and changing his mind, putting her as a bad guy and changing his mind, rewriting her character to have the no superpheremone thing, and a bunch of other tweaks. She's also the first spoiler profile he put together. She's going nowhere.

Besides, Dan made a filler with her sleeping with him. She's got hormones on her side.

I just don't see any of the main good guys dying... but I'd say that Nanase would probably be the most likely..
