I have been thinking about a Star Wars Rpg for a long time and know I am going to do it.  It will be based on episodes 4-6 with the Empire and Republic.  You can be on one of those teams, a mercenary, bounty hunter or any other think that is in the star wars galaxy.  You could even be jedi.  If you wanna do this PM me a basic character that you would want to be and I am going to start it when we have at least 3 or 4 people.

First of all, there are force users, and many of them have very very little to no control over what they can do with their powers, most don't even know they use the force besides strange things happen around them, like they can predict if there's going to be a storm or sunshine.

Second of all, your last RP died...horribly and with people kicking it in the head and the groin...simultaneously. You didn't start that one off with more of a story than "This is going to be fun" and "an old man's daughter was kidnapped by...someone...somewhere..." This one doesn't seem to be off to much better a start. What are the details and do you know the Star Wars universe well enough to DM an RP about it? Because if this thing looks good I'll play, but I'm super-critical on accuracy when the universe is pre-set, like Star Wars.

Ok.  This one will be much better than my other one that died.  I love Star Wars much more than D&D.  I will give exceptional detail on every thing.  What you will be doing, you will be with the Rebels you will be doing covert and/or overt mission against the Empire.  You main goal like in the movie, is to protect the universe from the Empire's take over and take back the capital planet of Coruscant.  If you decide to be a jedi, you have to give me a description of your character and based on their abilities, I will give you your Jedi powers.  If you are a mercenary or a bounty hunter, you have to go after people involved with the Empire.  You will have different mission at different planets like Naboo, Endor and Kashyyyk. 

This one will not die at all because I know they Star Wars realm really well and I will put in extreme details, make galaxy, planetary and area maps in detail.  I will not half ass this one and that is a guarantee because I love Star Wars too much to see anything revolving around it flop like Star Wars Galaxies.

Sounds good, but two things. I liked Star Wars Galaxies .

Also, again, there are no jedi in that time period (save Luke and Ben) and force users simply have obscure powers and extremely little to no control over them in most cases. New Jedi, with any amount of control of the force, don't come around until Luke begins his Jedi Academy, somewhere around 12 years...I'd have to check the book but I think that's right...after Endor. There are the witches of Danthomir and groups like that who know how to use their powers, but that's pretty much the lot unless you're a dark jedi...and they're few and far between, and certainly don't openly display their powers for fear of Palpatine and Vader.

Anyway, I'll play. I'll make up a character here soon and give it to you.

Two things, there were a few Force Gifted characters through that era, not including simply Ben and Luke.

That is of course, unless you do not consider the New Jedi Order Books, and the after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi valid - because Mara Jade, the Emperor's hand, was force Gifted, as were several others whom Luke eventually took under his tutelage and trained to become Jedi.

But, for the most part, they were SO FEW AND FAR BETWEEN, that it would be very unlikely to encounter one, Luke was lucky, and he was the main character, and that gave him the advantage that I don't believe would be present in this Universe.

I was merely mentioning it - it sounds intriguing, but I'm kind of not into SW right now...

Force Gifted characters who met and were eventually recruited/helped Luke were also all what would be considered NPC characters anyway. But I'd like an example of someone besides a witch of Danthomir, a dark jedi, or Mara Jade that had enough control to be considered Force Gifted rather than just Force Adept.

I need to make a correction.  I am going to make it my own time period so I dont have to go by any rules based off movies or books.  It might work but we will find out.

It will be set before Episode 1.  It will be about the setting up of the Republic and the creation of the Jedi Council.

Meaning what exactly?  What conceptial characters will be allowed within your game?

I have re-thought my original perspective on this, I may wish to participate, but I'm not sure... Either way, I would like a bit more information - anyway, if you can AIM me with some info, ok?
