If...I mean when ^_^ an EGS movie is made, who should play what part, and what should the movie cover?

If there ever was an EGS movie (which, I'm sorry, will never happen) the actors could be:

Elliot: Orlando Bloom(?)

Ellen:???

Tedd:???

Sarah: Drew Barrymore

Grace: Shannon Elizabeth

Nanese:???

Susan:???

Justin:???

Greg: Orlando Jones

A movie should cover Goo through Painted Black hitting all the major points, not including anything that breaks the fourth wall (sketch week, Dr. Germahn's explanation's, recaps, etc.)

I remember having a thread like this before...a long time ago on the original TWC forums. Not much was ever really decided upon.

 

Although, if I remember correctly, Dan listed a couple of preferences.

 

I'd like to see it done as an animated movie. It wouldn't seem right otherwise.

Yeah, well,5 years ago fans of Scooby Doo, Garfield and Spiderman and stuff would have said the same thing.

Matthew Lillard's excellent portrayal of Shaggy was the only thing good to come out of that movie. And Garfield? No. Just...just no. It's stupid enough already.

I think EGS would make an interesting Anime EGS as a full movie would never work

I'd like to see it nevertheless. An animé movie of course. Not live-action, and preferably not 'cartoon', as I dislike the connotations of the word.

*shudders* God forbid there ever be an EGS movie, for the same reason EGS should never be a flash comic.

...that is, that flash comics are usually created by imbeciles?

This was discussed on the old TWC. There would be two ways to make it a sprite comic. Either give them voices, thus removing any semblance of imagination in the whole thing and saying, "This is what they sound like, this is it, so there", or making it text, which, in a flash comic, has MANY problems with it.

A movie would be the same. THIS is how they look, THIS is how they sound, THIS is how they move, etc.

If Dan sold the rights to a EGS movie I'd hunt him down.

And then there's the problem that other people will be involved in the making. Including the studio that agrees to make it. This means what they say goes. You don't have the same freedom with a movie that you do with a webcomic.

"No, no, take it back. We don't like Tedd. We think he should be less...creepy. Make him not a pervert. Then we'll talk."

"Susan should be more feminine. Take it back, fix that, then we'll talk."

Agreed on all but the first point. It's not like we don't already know what they look like. My concern is finding actors that actually look like the characters. Wanting Orlando Bloom and the such is fine, but do these big Hollywood actors really look like our favorite group of 16-year-olds?

I could, however, see an animated movie/series/what have you. The oly problem is... you guessed it, voices. But as lond as Dan picked the voices, I'd be fine with it. They are his characters.

Voices and, as pointed out above, director/editor/censor/what have you screwing it up because it's not the kind of thing they want. Professionals making it terrible.
