Hey there! I'm a huge fan of RagTag, and I can't find, not even one, better than RagTag. So I'm wondering, do you have a WebComic? If so, post your url and I tell you what I like and don't like. Please? I need to find a new webcomic!

Well, heres mine : Click me!

    RE: Your Webcomic

Isn't this more like a way for you to showcase your own webcomic?

Anyway, most of you know this, but here's my journal comic: http://honestly.overtilt.com

    RE: Your Webcomic

No, I just want to see new stuff. And stuff.

Heh, your comic rules. But my suggestions is to use Macromedia Flash for the drawings, because you can make pictures in flash, just go to File>Publish settings and click on .png file or .jpg.

    Otherwise, it rocked! xD

The problem is that he wouldn't be able to draw them in the same style he has now, and he'd have to learn a whole new interface for a microscopic change in image quality/filesize, which, to be honest, I think is fine.

    RE: Your Webcomic

There are a few good Flash comics out there. Ragtag is one of them. Yours isn't. And I won't be a jack**** and leave it at that. I'll give you the constructive critisism everyone deserves.

1: Why do they constantly clench their fists? This is due to two things, as far as I can see: You won't bother with making ANY kind of extra graphics for it, it seems. You even left out the arms and legs so you wouldn't have to make several versions of them. It just looks lazy.

2: Why did you make yet ANOTHER gaming comic? There are enough out there already, and 99% of them aren't worth reading. Believe me, I know. I've tried reading a lot of horrible gaming comics. Try to do something else.

3: Your jokes aren't very original. Try to bring something new into webcomics. I'm saying every strip should be something new and innovative, I'm just telling you that for a webcomic to be good, you need to make something that people feel like they haven't seen a hundred times before. In other words, you need to convince the readers that your comic is different from the others and worth reading.

4: Modular characters. Urgh. As far as I can remember, I read TWO strips daily that're made using modular characters. Ragtag and Men In Hats. The way they get away with it is by amazingly good writing. They're both intelligently and humorously written, which is why they get away with it. If you can't write well and you can't draw, what are you doing making a comic for?

5: I'm more of a traditional media kind of guy, so I won't be using Flash for making static imagery. Ever. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with using Flash. Vib is doing it to great effect. It's just a choice I made.

    RE: Your Webcomic

I, for one, like modular characters -- not all of them, because they're usually ****, but they can be used well here and there, as long as you're not too reticent to make new graphics. I actually like the way his characters look, and don't mind the lack of arms/legs.
For me, it's more an issue of constantly having the same poses and positions for hands. Remove the dialogue and every strip looks markedly similar. Of course, there's only a few up, so it's hard to judge so early, but art-wise, I'd say just go for a little more variety. Don't be afraid to add new graphics.
The jokes aren't really bad, they've just mostly been done before.
