    Re: alternate endings

The Emporer wasn't paying attention to Vader. He was busy zapping Luke into oblivion. How did Vader pick Palpatine up bodily with only one hand?

    Re: alternate endings

a sith master who alone can take out several jedi masters, with power enough to hide is dark-side presence from the entire jedi council, that basicly are next door, should be able to discover a murderous intent aimed at him from the guy next to him... and I mean, he's a sith, the fact that his apprentice would turn on him one day is pretty obvious

    if
    Luke>Vader, Vader>Palpatine
    then
    Luke > Palpatine
    simple logic

No, don't you see it's like rock, paper, scissors. Luke beats Vader, Palpatine beats Luke, Vader Beats Palpatine.

    Re: alternate endings

'cause otherwise Palpatine would have been killed by Luke, instead of zapping him with lightning. Unless Twitch meant it as a joke, in which case I knew it was a joke all along.

    Re: alternate endings

I'm not sure what you are saying right there...

Palpatine would have killed Luke if Vader hadn't stepped in is what I was saying because Palpatine beats Luke and Vader beats Palpatine.

    Re: alternate endings

but Luke only lost to Palpatine because he tried to turn Vader, wich ofc worked, so Luke indirectly beats Palpatine, by beating Vader

    Re: alternate endings

Yor could argue that Palpatine had a hand in his own demise. Having to watch his son being killed by Palpatines Sith Lightning was what turned Vader back to the light side, so therefore Palpatine killed himself.

    Re: alternate endings

I like Darth Vader much less now I have seen how whiny Anakin Skywalker was in the first three movies. By Revenge of the Sith, I was ready to push Anakin into the lava myself.

Bah, all of these movie Sith can bite me; it's all about Exar Kun, now he was a bad ass. He was blowing up planets long before Sidious and without a Death Star. He wielded a double bladed saber long before Darth Maul which was blue to boot, he wielded a blue light saber and still managed to retain his evil aura of menace. Further more his spirit managed to stick around to terrorize the new Jedi Academy of Luke Skywalker's on Yavin 4.

    Re: alternate endings

Was Exar Kun running around when the Mandalorian Wars were on? I think my GM mentioned that name in the background for our new Star Wars RPG. Much before the movies and I have no idea what is happening. The books I've read all deal with the aftermath of the Empire's fall.

    Re: alternate endings

Well the Mandalorian Wars started 3,965 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) and due to Darth Revan they didn't last for very long. Exar Kun was born circa 4,000 BBY and his Spirit was destroyed 11 ABY. (After the Battle of Yavin) I don't recall him ever being involved in the Mandalorian Wars themselves but he did start his own war as he sought to rebuild the lost Sith empire.

    Re: alternate endings

Exar Kun is dead cool. Didn't he start the Great Sith War or something like that?

    Re: alternate endings

Yep, he was attempting to rebuild the Sith empire; this was after all that business with Revan and the Jedi Exile covered in Kotor I and II. Hopefully if they make a third it will tell a bit of his story, he is one of the coolest Sith there is... other than Revan who was an amazing tactician and utterly crushed the Mandalorians as anyone who played Kotor would know, if you haven’t don’t worry that wasn’t a spoiler.

Darth Vader is cool in his own right but when you get right down to it he wasn't that amazing when compaired to some of the others. He had a snappy outfit and a cool voice, he had some good one liners and was a kick ass fighter but all in all not that amazing; if it wasn't for Palpatine he wouldn't have been able to do what he did.

    Re: alternate endings

Exar Kun started the Jedi Civil war (before the mandalorian war) which Revan and Malak picked up again after the Mandalorian war, after they found the Star Forge

I think Exar Kun had the mandalorians as allies during his sweep over the galaxy, tho they didn't play that much a part as they did in their own war that followed.

heh, in fact, I'm playing Kotor atm, for the 2nd time in 2 weeks ^^
second time in 1 year as well

I think Kotor 2 was a disappointment, not even close to the awsome game kotor was, but ye, I'd like a Kotor game with Exar Kun, or maybe a new game, but with the same style... and w/out Obsidan as developers, they can crush a game by simply touching it
