RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

I never normally go anywhere near the 'Daily Mirror', but I made an exception when my Dad drew my attention to an article they ran on Saturday.

Their front page on Thursday featured a large picture of Bush and the headline 'How can 59,054,087 people be so DUMB?'. They put this on their website too, probably to provoke a reaction. It did, so in Saturday's paper they've printed out some of the comments received from Americans of both partisans.

It would take too long to go through them all, but here are some of my favourites:

"I hope you realise that 59 million US citizens are smart enough to spend their tourism dollars elsewhere. I myself will NEVER visit your third-world country. Rot in hell."

"These same idiots still believe Saddam was behind 9/11. They voted for Bush for his moral stance. Never mind that we've killed 100,000 innocent Iraqis. Whatever happened to "Thou shall not kill"?. Oh well. As long as we Americans can still consume 25 per cent of the world's resources everything will be just fine! Who cares if we're ******* all over the rest of the world? We've got Jesus"

"God is with America. People with morals, class, Bible readers and believers have spoken. The dumb people is you, that have a queen in the 21st century."

"Our civil rights have been hijacked back into the 18th century. Please help us to emigrate out of this religious fanatical hellhole! I feel as though a family member was murdered. I have not honestly felt this much hatred towards any one group of people since 9/11 and if I cannot get it out of my system I will implode. Send the UN here to investigate this atrocity and have Bush impeached for war crimes against humanity."

"Mindless Brits! When is the last time you held an election on the Queen? You're probably too biased to post this."

"If you are one of the 45 million without health insurance, a simple ear infection costs upwards of £150 to treat. I am horrified that over 59 million people voted to re-elect the moron-in-chief. But don't worry, Britons, those people won't be visiting your country anytime soon. Nine of 10 of them can't find Britain on a map."

You know, if you swap out a few words here and there, that statement could have come straight out of my mouth a few weeks ago.

Well Lolli, I'll try my best at the UN thing.

But I bet you've heard by now how terrible it is in the world heaven...
And according to one show on tv, New Zeeland *sp* (o_O) is likely the best and only place to emigrate to for 'us'.

Bush just loves playing war, but now that it's practically also here, started already (while people deny it's even that far) and I intend to fight my own way if it's getting out of hand.

This reminds me of an episode of a Brazilian comedy TV show, where a bunch of Brazilian superheros try to stop Bush from bombing Brazil... the end goes something like this:

Bush: "And now I'll bomb the capital of Brazil!" *presses Buenos Aires button*

In case you're wondering, Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina...

Sounds like something he'd do... Anyway, I'm curious how many of you have seen the "Mosh" video from Eminem. You can find it at Launchcast if you haven't seen it. I caught it a day or two before the elections, and was surprisingly moved by something that Eminem released. I really wish it had been released much earlier though. It might have had more impact then Puffy threatening "Vote or Die".

People need to make considered decisions based on their own intuition and the available information, not just listen to some guy who hasn't wiped his own ****hole in 3 years

RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

Yeah, I realize that, but the problem is, that most Americans are sheep. They can't form their own opinions, and need something to follow. My point is that if more celeb's had put forth an effort like Eminem or Puffy did, then maybe more young people would have paid attention to the elections, got off of their asses, and tried to make a difference.

Reality is even more frightening though. I'm sure by 2008, Jeb Bush will be ready to take over for his brother. *shudders* Hey Eze, you got an extra closet I can bunk in?

RE: "The Future Belongs to Freedom, not Fear."

Apparently a Californian senator had his 'people' run a research project into Bush's 'new wave' of sex education groups. (i.e. Groups that dont teach 'safe sex', but that sex outside of marriage is evil. More forcing of religious views by bogots onto the impressionable children)

The report oulines the failures and general foolishness of using religious 'abstinance-only groups'.

They found out that out of the 13 major programmes, only 2 supply acurate information. 'Facts' peddled by the other 11 included:-

    - HIV can be contracted through sweat and tears

    - Touching genitals can lead to pregnancy

    - A 43 day old foetus is a thinking person

    - Abortion can lead to sterility and suicide

    - Half of American gay teenagers have tested positive for HIV

    - Condoms fail to prevent HIV transmission in 31% of heterosexual intercourse

While it is an undeniable fact that abstinence is the only certain way to avoid STDs, these groups push this, instead of choice and us lies to do it.

It's also sad that these classes teach that masturbation is evil. If a kid thinks masturbation is downright evil, they'll be more likely to get their kicks through unprotected sex.
