Rolling Elephant? It could roll on the logs for a sort of trample effect.

blackpanther:  I don't know if it means the same thing in Oz but round here elephantine logs would look like this

    so no, not really.

    muffinlord:
Rolling Elephant? It could roll on the logs for a sort of trample effect.

It could indeed but that's not what it's called.

I've decided to start giving little hints now, not so much clues as nudges in the right direction; this monster has had a fancy make-over for 3.5, so much so that you might not recognise it, but the concept is unaltered.

That still only counts as one!

I'm afraid not, another hint will have to wait till I can think of one that isn't a total giveaway however.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner!

The Stone Juggernaut from Tomb of Horrors is indeed the identity of the mystery guest.  Winner of the extremely silly monster award for 5 years running, well, rolling.

    Well done EPSC, your shout.

That still only counts as one!

Bet you're happy the artwork's improved!

    Could they be Ghouls?

Although they look like Wights IMO.

    Re: Creature Feature!

That's what they are, and exactly what I thought too - they look like badly drawn versions of the Wight from the 1st Edn. Monster Manual.

White Plume Mountain Room 20 it is, indeed they are Ghouls.

That still only counts as one!
